  1. I've paid as much as $1200 for a rep. But that watch had an ETA7753 which accounts for the high cost. Some of the other high priced reps with A7750 movements just don't seem do be worth the scratch. Beautiful on the outside yes...but still with cheap guts inside. The average price for "Good" reps seems to be around $300-500. But still good deals to be had in the $200 and under range. The newer super reps will certainly all cost north of $300. But its good to see the factories are still making less expensie versions of these watches. (ie. GMTII-c )
  2. Great idea Freddy. Might be helpful to separate the ICH results into Asian and Swiss in the results section.
  3. Thanks. I always have a hard time navigating his website. Very circular. Gotta love the music though. Mission Impossible? AR on the watch he is showing doesn't look that good though.
  4. I believe the criticism of the GT is that the rehaut is too wide. Don't know if they fixed that or not. The 6.75 is the more accurate rep of the two. Was one of the first reps that I bought. Josh's updated version has the more accurate dark maroon date font. But the AR is still a joke. Easy tell for anyone that has ever worn a Breitling. Definitely needs "real" AR, if you want to wear it with any confidence. Gotta like big watches if you get this one though. Wears pretty big on the wrist. Some say that its too blingy and the design betrays the Breitling tradition. I happen to like it.
  5. Don't see it on his website. Is it mineral or sapphire crystal? I am waiting for the "super duper double secret AR" version to come out.
  6. A little confusing...??? What makes you think its rubber and not PVD like listed. Has anyone contacted King on this?
  7. Joshua sells the watch that you want. He has an older model picture on his website. But the watch he ships has the correct font on the "1" I bought mine from him. The only problem is that the "6" and "12" are thinner than the GEN. To me that is a bigger problem than the serif on the "1" EDIT: I believe the sapphire crystals are much more prone to cracking than the mineral.
  8. Not ceramic at all... Its PVD and will have more of a tendency to develop scratches
  9. : The good thing is, now with the Platinum membership, you can edit the words BACK IN.
  10. Small potatoes in New York my friend. And yes it's totally pointless to mention. We are not impressed. Take your replicas to your local T*itty bar" and try to impress the strippers there. Your BS does not fly around here.
  11. I don't understand how this guy can be so f*ucking clueless as to how his actions are were going to be perceived. He actually thought we were going to cheer him on for calling out a poor working immigrant while trying to make himself feel like the BIG MAN. Let me echo the sentiments before me: YOU ARE AN AS*SHOLE POSER!!! It's people like you that make the world a sh*tty place to live in. Grow some decency !!!! (OK...I'm done. Just had to vent)
  12. My guess is the margin on these watches are well over $50. On the higher priced watches like the BB he has to be making at least $200/watch. For sure the margin on the cheaper watches are less, but these days there are less and less of these lower priced reps. ....and the only time they stop working is the period around CNY
  13. NICE watch!!!! I like this version the best. How is the font on the sub-dials compared to the GEN? Looks a little different form the pics but may just be photography angles
  14. I personally buy SOME replicas to "test drive" the watch as you said. The reps I really like, are the ones I consider buying the GEN. Some watches are fads whose design concepts are certainly not going to last (ie Hublot). I would much rather spend $500 on a watch like that, than $12K for a watch thats going to go the way of bell bottom pants. I don't, however, feel the need to pay hommage to the GEN watchmakers, by purchasing one of their watches b/c I have a replica of it. That's just silly! @ dabom: Just to comment on the guy you saw wearing the bad replica TAG (other thread)....I don't think it's fair to call him a POSER. We are all posers in one way or another. He just doen't know any better. The couple of replicas I bought before finding RWG were pretty sad. Maybe you should have turned him onto our forum.
  15. looks like the minute hand is too long too...
  16. Ruby has this watch on her website for under $500. Looks different than Mark's V2 RG/ceramic version with the wrong CF dial. It's high beat...has better CF dial , correct gold colored rehaut...but non-engraved rotor. Different factory? What do you guys think?
  17. I might have been the last person in the world to see this, but I thought this was post-worthy. Was produced by Will I Am from the Black Eyed Peas and is going to awarded an emmy. Talk about inspirational....
  18. Maybe never.........
  19. That applies to the most expensive version w/the Swiss CHS. That being said, there are members here that have reps with CHS that have been working for years. The trick is not to fiddle with the independently adjustable hour hand. That will send your watch to an early death. Mine has been running flawlessly for over 2 weeks now. Knock on wood.
  20. The GEN has a really sunken DW. Wonder if the rep, will be the same. EDIT: Looks pretty close from the pics:
  21. AFAIK, all from the same factory. Used Josh's GEN to make the rep. Angus still has the asian ICH in stock. I'm sure J & A will have them soon too. Excellent rep BTW. I have a hard time taking mine off since I got it.
  22. There are some versions of this watch that have wider spacing of the sub-dials. This one, with the CF dial, looks more like the repped version.
  23. IMO, kinda pointless to rep a watch that's suppposed to have a split-seconds chrono and only have one chrono hand. I think the second pusher is functionless ...No?
