  1. You don't need that monstrous contraption. A simple spring bar tool works well. Cheap ones can be had for less than $10. Think I paid around $35 for mine at Ofrei
  2. New B&R 02 on Josh's site with PVD and RG. Looks pretty good. I can live with the small flaws (ie thin font on dial and lume on 12-o'clock marker too big) but what is the deal with the pusher at 2? Seems to stick out way too far on the RG models but is Ok on the SS models. Does anyone know if this is a screw down pusher or not?
  3. Best of the Bentley series. However, the factory AR is single sided and no where close to looking authentic. Thank god for Chief.
  4. Sorry to hear you got scammed mate. Too many of those sites out there. No need to look anywhere else. The recommended dealers here have all of the available reps at cheaper prices. Delivery is quick, as fast as three days sometimes. And if you have a problem, such as customs or defective product the dealers will take of it. My bet is you will never see the Breguet you paid for. I'm surprised they even answer your E-mails. If you do eventually get a watch from them, I'm sure it'll be a cheap replica. Wealth of info here if your interested. Good Luck
  5. This is how is I understand it. Investors are selling their foreign assets for a big shopping trip in the US. They sell their stocks, sell their Euros, Pounds and whichever major currencies they have (which all are falling) to buy dollars (getting stronger) and buy into several diverse investments from stock to oil and other resources... Stocks are so cheap now it's a golden opportunity, and if you know what you're doing, you can make a ton of money. More demand for the USD results in increasing strength.
  6. Cool idea. Why not. Seems very do-able
  7. I was under the impression that every watch I ordered went through a rigorous QC check at the factory and was sent out to the dealers ONLY after it passed the white glove inspection process. After that the watches are hand delivered by Chinese super-models to the respective dealers, who in turn re-inspect the watches and then have them blessed by Bhuddist monks and then kissed by angels before mailing them off. Was I mis-informed?
  8. While there is no way to tell for sure, (even the dealers don't know), The plating on the new FM is listed as 5 mils. thick. It certainly won't last a long time with regular wear, it's no different than any other gold plated rep.. IMO this is a watch you wouldn't wear everyday anyway. BTW It DOES looks really nice in your hand.
  9. Not very accurate. Think I'll pass
  10. Guess he had to change his website again... Friendly competition: http://www.jpc8118.com
  11. Thanks Toad, I don't seem to be having luck with these GMT's. Just sent back a CHS to Josh for repair.
  12. To update my watch's symptoms. I have tried fully winding the watch again and let it set. The watch ran for 31 hours. I put the watch on today without winding it and it appears that the rotor is not doing its job. The watch will run for a bit, maybe 30-40 minutes then stop. If I spin the rotor by shaking the watch the watch will also run for a little bit then stop. Something new has been happening lately. When I try to set the time, the crown feels like it is slipping, when it catches, the minute hand jumps five minutes at a time. This is also an intermittent problem. I was going to open the watch before to see if it was something I could easily fix, but with these new problems I may just give up on this watch. FUBAR no? Any advice?
  13. Ok, so with a full winding, the watch ran for 18 hours

    Pam 253

Unfortunately. But mineral glass is less prone to shattering than sapphire.

    Pam 253

The 253 is a nice watch, but has some serious flaws IMO. There has yet to be a super-rep made. I haven't had any problems with the crystal on mine. I think the shattering crystal problem is more common with the Fiddy, but I don' think that the 253 is immune.
  16. Haven't tried that yet Freddy. I just fully wound it and will let you know. Thanks
  17. Somebody must be buying all these new TAGs, but it ain't me.
  18. I think this problem has been discussed here before, but I can't find the thread. The problem I'm having is on a GMTiic Asian ICHS. The watch fails to wind sufficiently to stay running with normal kinetic movement. If I shake the watch for a while, it will run for a bit, then stop. Everything else is ok, and the watch runs fine if it is manually wound. Is this a problem with a loose rotor or something more serious? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  19. But does it actually function as a minute repeater? Now that would be cool.
  20. I haven't been able to find this watch in SS/platinum/WG either. This is the closest in appearance I could find...but not the same size (49mm length x 35mm width) hxxp://www.thefinestwatches.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/catalog.viewProduct/productId/8801
  21. While the original bezel had thick numbers, the numbers on the newer sandwich bezels actually are thinner than the GEN. I see what you mean Freddy, Still looks like an improvement, but the differences are so minor.
  22. ??? This is the 2nd version that Josh recently posted on his site, with the DW at 6?
  23. Damn I was hoping for some high-res macro shots. Thanks for the pics. Looks pretty good. BTW the blue plastic stuff will come off with your nail.
  24. The horizontal portion of the 6 curves down on the full ceramic and the GEN. It is straight on the sandwich dial. I think the Rolex branding on the rehaut also starts at 9 o'clock on the full ceramic but is off on the sandwich bezel. Bring a loop with you, may be hard to tell with the naked eye. Full ceramic Sandwich bezel
