  1. Was there Sunday and yesterday. Most of the great deals were gone in the first day on Saturday, when the sold the majority of the SS models. A lot of the high end/high dollar Full gold models were left, They did have some good deals left. IWC Ingys, AMG, Aquatimer, Graham Chronofighters, Breitiling Chrono Avenger, Ebel and others for 50% off. 70% off Tourneau brand, Mont Blanc, Hamilton. But no Rolex, PAMs or PP. Definitely have to get there early to get the cream of the crop.
  2. The cheap quartz versions are only coated with ceramic and therefore chip easily. The solid ceramic versions, of which there are two grades, (if you believe that) are more durable. My GF has the middle grade ceramic version and has not had any problems with cracking or chipping in over 4 months. FWIW I haven't seen any threads about problems with the solid ceramic J12's
  3. nope..chrono sub-dials are ridiculously wrong, but the non-chrono J12 is spot on.
  4. I think I am feeling the same way. Just needed to hear other people say it. Thanks
  5. I am hoping that someone can help me out. I am trying to decide whether of not to get the BP FF Trilogy. What would be a good price for this watch? The watch is brand new but with no papers. (Tourneau sample sale). They are asking $5,400 out the door. (1/2 off list of $10,000). I'm a much bigger fan of the newer version with the saphire bezel, but this one is nice as well. Is this a good deal? I have ssen them on TZ used w/ papers for $3,200. Any opinions?
  6. You can download almost any popular textbook here: hxxp://forum.textbooktorrents.com/index.php?action=register Although that would be considered stealing, and I don't condone that. (if you cannot DL at school, have someone do it for you where they are not fire-walled and send the file to you.)
  7. I would beg to differ: Just not the one being repped....yet.
  8. It was my understanding that Palladium is more of a charcoal version of platinum. The rep looks very shiny and lighter when compared to the GEN.

    New Sub

The biggest tell (besides that the GEN won't be available for two years) is the bezel font color. Should be white. Just need to make the bezel baby blue.. Bring on the Smurfmariner!!!
  10. Josh's site says the GMT and new sub have the same case dimensions. Is this true? In any event the font color on the bezel should be white, not grey like on the GMT.
  11. The engraving on the bezel is pretty rough too. Looks like it was cut by hand with a butter knife
  12. Man, that pearl looks funky! Too bad the SS wont be out until 2010, so you'll only have to wait two years to wear it. Maybe they'll get it right by then
  13. Try here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...p;hl=3717+V1+V2
  14. I've always pronounced it "oh-may-gah". But evidently there are different ways to pronounce it: hxxp://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/omega (like Pug said)
  15. That's so generous of the C1 factory to protect us from those "bad" rep makers. Altruism at its finest. C'mon!! The reality is they have a [censored]-load of C1 reps that they can't sell because they are over-priced. Simple supply and demand economics
  16. Bordering on ridiculous. You could eat your lunch on that thing
  17. Most likely it's the same ticking time bomb movement used in the past. If there was a newer more reliable version, it would have been big news and advertised as such. There a lot of people that are waiting for that day, including myself.
  18. Think they will be out in November. My bad...36mm.
  19. Good one!! I wouldn't be looking anywhere there
  20. Is it just me or am I the only one pining for the new Rolex DDII? I like the DD but @ 36mm, it doesn't have much wrist presence What you all think? Can we get this repped or is it too soon?
  21. I take it back, just got an e-mail from Angus. Prices have dropped on most HBB models.
