  1. FWIW, Joshua says he's going to be bringing out an updated version soon.....whatever that means.
  2. I have never ordered from Chris, so I cannot comment on his QC process personally. I usually order from Josh and have NEVER had a problem that wasn't fixed. I HAVE seen a lot of recent negative thread about Eurotimez watches not being what was promised....so...caveat emptor.
  3. Check out these excellent reviews from Lani: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Ulysse-Nardin-Ma...hro-t89632.html http://www.rwg.cc/members/Ulysse-Nardin-Ma...hro-t91917.html
  4. I think its one of those watches that you either love or hate. It is definitely a quality rep, with not many flaws . The most accurate version is the black and red bezel model. The other problem is that the date mag is embedded in the crystal making it difficult if not impossible to do after-market AR.
  5. ...sigh. I wonder what the true intent of the OP's purpose for posting his rep there: 1.) Did he do it because he wanted to feel like he belonged to the Rolex forum? 2.) Was he trying to see how good his rep was by testing the WIS's knowledge or ..3.) Was he planning on trying to sell this watch as a GEN at a later time, and wanted to test the waters, so to speak. BTW...his GMTII-c rep does not look like the one's we have available. I noticed on mine that there is correct spacing between the "GMT -MASTER II" and the "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER" and the rehaut engraving looks better, albeit it does not line up like it should at the 9.
  6. Have to agree w/ Gioarmani. Definitely looks semi-gloss. Not so sure about the charcoal color. Looks like a lighting effect:
  7. This a great idea. A sort of meta-analysis of all the info scattered here. A Zagat's guide to Replica's so to speak. Would be a great incentive for new members to donate to get access to this info.....and would cut down on the countless "Who has the best (insert watch name)?" threads"
  8. Cool movement. Just have to get lightening to strike it to get it going. Could be a big problem
  9. They'll never learn. . ......Group buys are fraught with disaster.
  10. You mean like this? PWC @ RG has them for $329
  11. Not a bad color match....but that "COLUMN WHEEL" branding on the dial just kills it. WTF?
  12. Looks ok, sans the sunken date wheel. I like this one better:
  13. Nice classy watch. Rep is not very accurate though. Sub-dial position is way off. GEN:
  14. King has this one. Don't know how good it is though.
  15. GMTIIc has AR'd mag. Submariner does not
  16. ..I think it would just be easier to paint the red part black. Gen lists for around $9k
  17. I think the Milgauss has both green and blue lume
  18. The GMTIIc is a great rep. I wouldn't worry about the longevity of the movement, UNLESS...you cannot resist playing with the GMT hand and/or the independent hour hand (CHS). This will almost certainly kill the movement due to the modification they used, which is held together with spit and paper clips. Mine has been running perfectly. (ever since I got it back from Joshua after I F'd it up by setting the hour hand).
  19. I might be totally wrong, but if the entire underside of the crystal is coated as well as the entire outer crystal surface...without removing the mag. (if that can be done) ....and then the AR was stripped from everywhere except the mag region, would that not give a good result? Does the mag that is still cemented and the crystal, not act as a single unit? Or would you get reflections form the inner uncoated surface of the mag and uncoated outer surface of the crystal under the mag?
  20. If you can love a Hublot BB, then this one is not that far a stretch. I prefer the red gold/silver dial version, but this one I like too.
  21. Looks pretty good to me: http://www.jpc8118.com/0272-p-5469.html
  22. Joshua is a reliable guy to buy from. I have ordered at least 15 watches from him over the past year and not a single problem with delivery. (knock on wood). He is always willing to fix any problems I have had, such as a faulty movement on a CHS GMTIIc, that was turned around in less than a month, so I would highly recommend him. All of the recommended dealers pretty much have the same inventory, so its more about their style of business than anything else. With Joshua, you get lightening fast shipping, quick communication, and quarantee that he will take care of any problems that occur. However he is a drop-shipper, which increases your risk of getting a flawed or problem watch, and his prices are a bit higher than other dealers. IMO the QC that other dealers tout is hit or miss, and not to be taken very seriously.
  23. Wow! Your talents never cease to amaze me.
