Awesome watch for $120. The GEN looks like the dial is textured (sunburst pattern) Is the replica the same?

But it has 5 hands.

Too much effort and potential for destroying the dial IMO. I'd rather wait until the factories fix this glaring flaw. (listening Joshua?)

These is a genuine Black Surf version for 2009. Don't know if it comes in SS though

Although it's a very nice watch, the lack of SS outline on the numbers is a deal breaker IMO. Make the numbers look anorexic. They need to fix that ASAP.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I recently left the US on vacation with 3 reps in my carry-on. Customs/Security was no problem coming back.

Looks really close to me. I don't see any glaring flaws from the front. Obviously the movement will be entirely different. Needs a re-lume jobs also due to the lighter color on the markers. Doesn't have to cost a [censored]-load to be a good rep. The reason it's not expensive is because it uses a cheaper movement

The numbers on the dial should be outlined in SS. Not the same color as the dial. A HUGE improvement though.

No need for the sarcasm mate. People here obsess over much smaller things. It's all in the love and pursuit of the most accurate rep. That's why members spend hundreds of dollars modding their watches. It's part of the fun. IMO this is quite an easy tell and stands out at a distance. If your happy with it that's all that matters. Not everyone is so easliy satisfied. Enjoy Cheeers

I agree that from the pics, ET V5 looks better than PT's. My only concern at this point is the pearl. Although it's been improved and is much whiter...in fact it may be too white. It also appears from member's photos that the new pearl is too flat on the top. Almost like filling a cup to the top with milk. The GEN appears to have a more translucent appearance with a rounded top that is a little recessed GEN: ET's V5

Nice! Biggest fixable flaw is that the bezel numbers color should be much whiter. Not a very hard mod though.

It's at least got a beveled date window. But what a mess!

I agree the metal ring around the hour markers are thicker in the first two images. But the date window looks beveled in all three on my monitor

PT has what is being called the Sea-Dweller Deep Sea Supreme. Looks like a a V3 with some improvements. It has the beveled date window and the 2836-2 ETA clone modified to look like a 3135 (somewhat) . But the bezel font still looks too thin and the 2 piece titanium case back is wrong. Price is way high to: $468 USD. Any opinions?

It was a nice gesture from your friend...but this is quartz replica. Indicators: It's all wrong. Branding is wrong. Chrono pushers in wrong position. Biggest tell would be the non-sweeping second hand. GEN pic for comparison

Looks pretty good. The main contention is the movement holder. Rehaut engraving starting at 9 o'clock position is in question also.

Nice watch. New versions on Josh's site are more accurate. They fixed the numerals and the crown on the glacier blue dial. But made with a genuine as sample?....I doubt it.

Plain stupidity leaving a valuable item like that lying around.....c'mon..we're talking New York here.
