  1. Well a buddy of mine, his was sent also around that time and just received his EMS parcel 2 days ago. So the thing is, EMS is still not really back on track and is still catching up. Could still show up. But I agree it takes very very long and chances are getting smaller indeed...
  2. Have to politely disagree here. If you only look at the cost.. yes, then replace it. But looking at functionality, accuracy and reliability it is ALWAYS better to service the movements. I believe Zigmeister also commented on these kind of matters often long ago. Thing is, if you service it, it will run better. If you buy a new movement from ofrei or from a dealer, often the movement is older than a couple of years or can be dry/not good enough old. And could have to be serviced as well to make it run the best possible. And also don't forget about installation cost of a new movement on the watch. Servicing is cheaper and better. Just my 2c.
  3. Zigmeister is a very good watch smith indeed. There are more good watch smith who are 'old skool' and have a ton of experience. But there are not many good ones. There are a lot of 'so so' watch smiths. And also experience with Asian 7750 is also a must, because they have their own problems. So I would never have a replica serviced or worked on by watch smith who do not have a lot of experience with A7750 movements. Period. Whenever they did not have the experience with that, I politely thanked them and moved on. And Zig belongs to the top. Outstanding work. There are not many people who are great at modding and reluming and as well being a great watch smith as well.
  4. If the shipping from Tony is 30usd, he must me using EMS. Maybe someone can confirm this. Thanks!
  5. pvd destro sounds awesome. I am wondering if there will be also DLC models coming out this year...
  6. Not sure if I like that strap on the pam212, but it is a really really nice strap. Looking awesome in finish, thickness and also the croc skin looks awesome. Orloff will be on my list!
  7. Could it be that the PAM177 is a bit more loud from the ticking of the movement, because the case, titanium, is more light weight than the 219? When I had my 177 before, the loud noise of the movement ticking could really annoy me. It is something to consider...
  8. Wow Helmut, great find for having that strap made like that. Looks killer. Can't wait to see it in DLC as well. Too bad for you, then you need to miss this beauty for several weeks while having it DLC'd. wear it well!!
  9. Very nice collection! And yes, the straps do make a lot of difference. Sometimes you don't wear a certain watch for some time. Change the strap and your back in love.
  10. It might fit, but quality and finish wise ... I find the Seawolf bracelet a lot better comparing to the Skyland.
  11. Love the wrist photo's Milesd! Are you still going to mod some things or take it just the way it is. Could be the pictures, but looks a bit that there is some space between the CG and the case? How does it compare to the gen base 112 in terms of gen feeling? (thought you once owned a gen 112). Enjoy it! Cheers & all the best!
  12. haha, wtf, a hidden rep dealer at the rikketik? That is so awesome. The public there is in general so much against reps. haha, wtf, a hidden rep dealer at the rikketik? That is so awesome. The public there is in general so much against reps.
  13. Is he still around then?? Thought Chris has vanished. Too bad as a fellow Dutchy.
  14. I can recommend PT. Very good EU dealer. He is out for holiday until the first week of January I believe. But worth it to wait for it. About the TAG 'Brad Pitt' Carrera Chrono (CC) or the 43mm Day Date... Personally I have had both models. Actually at this very moment the Day Date is on my wrist. I would highly recommend the Day Date over the normal Carrera. The CC is a bit smaller than the DD. Also looks more simple and plain. The finish of the DD is better. Also the AR on the DD is stunning. And I like the dial of the DD more. And also the steel bracelet of the DD has a better finish and looks a bit better imo.
  15. Looking great. Probably also won't be expensive. The 288 has a A7750 which is more costly than a 6497-2. So I don't expect more to pay than 225usd. But at this rate they are making superlumed pams.. I'll be waiting for what more nice models are being launched the coming months.

  18. haha... during the interview at halftime? dude.. we aint all in the same country watching the same shows. Love to see some pics, the 253 was my first rep ever.
  19. I bought them from dealer and Panerai enthusiast River.
  20. Will have one for sale now. This is my watch: will be sold with rubber strap. modds: Chieftang AR, Zigmeister blue lume, movement serviced.
  21. Nice post, enjoyed looking at ur pam250 video. Emailed it to 2 friends of mine. Cheers!
  22. If you read the post once again, carefully, you can see that I mentioned what was done for modding. new blue lume by Zig (rep has green, genuine blue), Chieftang AR (rep had no AR), movement serviced by my watch smith cheers!
  23. My best buy on eBay has been a couple of months back. Bought a old pocket watch of which I suspected it could contain a Cortebert movement. It was advertised as non working, also in the advertisement there was nothing mentioned about Cortebert or 616. Pictures were also bad. Paid around € 4 for it. Upon arrival when I opened the caseback a old Cortebert 616 was in it. I Needed some spare parts to get it working again, like a balance wheel (which I had), but it was a great find.
  24. NO such thing buddy. This one and its brother, the pam286 would be the first thing to buy on my list if they would become available as a replica.
  25. Again a awesome review. Thank you so much Zigmeister! Love your work and reviews. Up to this day I have learned a lot from you. Thank you!
