You guys are too rich for my blood. By the way, there is nothing better than brotherly love.
Sennsi-
I love that strap. It is sitting at home waiting for my 28 rep. It is on the way having been coated by Palp's source (OEM supplier to PAM) and with the new cyclops. Your OOO is beautiful and is making me drool though.
Actually its a one-of-a-kind protoype. It is beautiful though. I really like the look of the hand stack and center pinion (not the typical cheap Asian movement look) and the dial color.
Neil-
Very cool piece.
I have been peppering Ubi with all kinds of questions about various Rolexes over the past few months. As always his responses were prompt and helpful. As those who know him will attest, he is one of the very few truly knowledgeable and valuable members here.
In any case I had been eager to buy a DW 6263 for several months now and Ubi had faithfully answered every inane question I could come up with. I had been avoiding it for fear of getting one with a bad movement. A few days ago Ubi was good enough to offer me one of his own. And not just any but one with a proven and serviced movement, new springbars and proper crystal. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that not only was his price very reasonable but he offered me a choice of bracelets and bezels out of his extensive collection - a true gentleman. Ubi- Many thanks. Here are the pics:
And the icing on the cake, so far it has been keeping COSC quality time.
Don't even care if Reg never responded. If you buy through folks on this forum have the decency to ask for help through the forum before escalating it into a public incident.
On the blacklist idea, I had always assumed dealers did that outside the forum anyhow. It is a great idea though as it lets private sellers beware and it allows the blacklisted person to defend themselves as well. Finally, if I were in a dealer's shoes I would be loathe to take paypal from anyone other than repeat buyers.
Aah, the fur coat dilemma. If you or your you're wife wears one there is your answer. I am against killing off rare species otherwise I don't give it a thought. Of course, I only like leather, rubber, croc and alligator for watch straps.
I love these loops. Dealer tries to pass on some valuable info to the general population and a dickhead or two has to show up. Hey Neil, don't waste you're breath.
It's a new weekend and it was time to take the sister bike out. Old school ZX-11 (ZZR1100 for you Brits).
And who kept me company this morning?
Not a great pic but you get the drift. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Looks to me like others on the other forum are telling this guy to shut up anyhow. It would be funny if the idiot making the waves didn't own a gen. I do hope you kept the rep though.
Here is the big news. I heard back from Ken on another matter and here is what he said concerning the 7753 version:
Time to start saving those pennies (oops I mean dollars). I am sure it will not be cheap but I can't wait.
Beyond alligator, crocodile and leather it grosses me out. Very parochial I know. On the stingray thing I have no idea whether they are a vanishing species or there are too many as there natural predators have been significantly reduced.
