  1. Yes, as we speak I am off to lunch at some fancy schmancy restaurant (which Archibald has been kind enough to tell me what is good on the menu) with a client who is demanding lunch on Good Friday. At least that is the sum total of my work day today. But if I have to be a banker to afford those hi profile reps, what does that make you? "Say hello to my little friend..." Seriously though, awesome watches.
  2. Darth, 1950, Daytona... What's next? But I do have something rarer than a gen - a Watchonpo 187.
  3. That I know. Is it yours? Oh, crazy one.
  4. I'm with Jet. Better PAM's and MBW vintages never.
  5. Thanks FItch. Upgrades compliments of Ziggy. The 1950 is truly a crowd pleaser. I am now on the hunt for a 217 with sapphire, swan necks, CDG plates and all blue engraving. Seems to be tough to find though. Oh I forgot the last time, Happy Easter, Passover or whatever to all. It is great to have a long weekend. An extra day to wear the sport watches.
  6. I don't know. Look at those hour markers. The width of the lume bath tub looks pretty damn good. Most reps have to0 fat of a lume trough. Hey Darth, is that yours?
  7. We have gotten great response from the membership and we are close to being theoretically sold out. I checked with Ssurfer and there are a few members who either indicated preliminary interest or who confirmed interest but have yet to pay. Please bear in mind two things. The $35 price applies and order confirmation takes place when either the deposit (if a pre-order) or full payment is sent. So if you want in at the lower price please send initial payment via pp to sssurfer over the next 3 days. This post is not meant to be a threat. The demand has been great but we have no idea whether this will sell out on pre-order. What we don't want are disappointed members who either think they can buy at $35 without payment or, even worse, think they are gettting something when they aren't. As has been said before, if these cyclops don't work you're money will be returned. Cheers to all, Kruzer
  8. The member count on the new site has always interested me as I wondered how many of the 7.000+ members at old RWG were still around.
  9. Hi Darth- Missed this one as I was stuck in Cleveland Airport for 7 hours yesterday. I vote gen though. Love the color of the gold on the TT and somehow no one ever gets the subdials or pusher detail quite as nice. Of course having Randy's vote first makes it easier. I actually prefer the seconds at nine. Put on a white dial and you end up with my favorite Daytona.
  10. I know how much effort and money that was. That is one beautiful watch. Wear it well.
  11. Congrats. A great wife certainly makes life better.
  12. Titanium is cheap. I didn't know it darkens that quickly though.
  13. Very pretty watch. It is also one of the few that keeps perfect time on the watchwinder.
  14. Great hobby. I suffer from the same disorder. Sitting in boxes in storage are every figure and variant of MacFarlane Spawn figurines for series 1-8 (read as hundreds of boxed figures). Can't figure out whether they are priceless or worthless. Seriously, Comic books will be a great thing to share with your son. But out of respect to the forum you will have to pick-up an original unopened copy of the Watchmen.
  15. The case and the general feel of this watch are amazing. Far and away the best of any PAM I own. Hell the engraving on the back is fabulous. The crown and crown guard combo is far better than what comes on our "perfect Fiddy". Don't forget that as of now it is only in the Asian 7750 version. Although I have to say they have either changed the auxiliary gearing to the datewheel or redone the dial such that it appears to be centered between the 4 and 5 unlike our 7750 196's. Also, given the size of the overall watch and the larger date on a 7753 the date does look small. I have started to fantasize about putting a seconday minicyclops directly above the date so I get double magnification at the crystal level. I once read somewhere that they did that on the 2893 Power Reserve but I may be hallucinating. The other criticisms I would have which most people know about who are interested include non-working dateset button and non-working He valve which appears to be laser etched versus engraving on the gen. Bear in mind these comments are coming from a fairly obsessive collector. The important takeaway though is that I love the watch. On the 7753 version I have heard no good news. At best what I have been told by the Watchonpo rep is that they would "consider" doing a run in the Summer.
  16. As the owner of the watch and in fairness to all, I have to say that Rob had no idea who had done the previous work. In truth, it was one of several pieces I had sent to Rob for relume (including another MBW). And as Tribal says I am happy with the watch and have certainly never complained. His other mods on the watch are fabulous. I simply took advantage of the fact that the watch was with Rob anyhow for a crown upgrade to get the dial redone. So cheers to everyone.
  17. I know what you won't get - "Luckyy" Why do you even ask?
  18. I voted for Fiddy, but I have a better idea. Pick-up FM Vegas. THe Roulette hand functions better than the gen. I have two friends who won big in Vegas and they separately bought the gold gen.
