  1. thanks a lot Puggy, that's very clever and pretty useful, besides it's a lot more easier to shoot inside a box! cheers, thanks again!
  2. You can always say you bought them "used abroad". That kills any chance of doubt. Some friends already know I'm "very" into watches (not compared to thousands of other members here) and that I participate in a watch forum. Not reps not gens, just watch forum... so a simple "I bought it used over the net" would do also. Sometimes a simple "it's a fake" and a wink works too... the "fell off a truck" one get lots of laughs but if someone goes on, any of the above works like a charm. So every one of the above are true, and you won't lie to anyone. good luck, compadre. salud!
  3. Sorry I didn't comment on this review before... Thanks Bytor, this IS my fav Rolex model along with the 6263 daytona and vintage subs, probably the only ones I'd have as keepers forever. The review has your trademark in it, it's just stunning to see this kind of work and time invested... I truly thank you as this kind of info and attention to detail isn't found easily around the web. You deserve a gold statue in the main center of the rep world! Your reviews kill me man, they make me want to stop eating forever and go watch shopping... cheers! @Chris will you do something about that pearl?
  4. same as an aston martin with the plate stating: "assembled by Jurgen von BangPunchCrash"
  5. That one is very beautiful, hang it well... I'd love to have something like that in leather for my laptop. cheers!
  6. bad to read your Ingy got lost F, I've had lots of watches lost and miss everyone of them. I can't imagine how hard would it be to lose a modded fav. I love the Ingy. The Ti AMG version or the that same SS pictured are high in my wishlist. Great pics, thanks for posting!
  7. Sure TJ, I just made a humorous suggestion regarding girls (not even "nude girls", check my post) and Corgi attacks on a sudden and bitter "grown up" answer? Then I could take out of it that I'm not a grown up, that he's a pretty bitter and angry person, that he may be gay (which is nothing bad, I do have gay colleagues and friends... specially girls ) and that he doesn't like any female figure, dressed or not, as easy as he imagines that a girl in a watch calendar must be nude. Sorry about this, I won't add any more to this thread as I don't want to go personal on a board so important to me and that is a motive of lots of laughter and joy. Bitter people won't get any more of my time as a plain member. Any more to add to this subject that wants to be said to me please use the pm function. I'm all about the calendar and the ideas you guys have posted, even the bitter ideas if they sum up. Chino.
  8. and a modded detonator! C4 with AR, so you don't see the explosion's glare!
  9. aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh... you know what I like, don't ya? you naughty boy!
  10. LOL!! how 'bout a "wristshot"? XD hey nice method, I'l try it later with a 44mm pam I need to open. thanks Mahler, didn't know that technique. cheers!
  11. Everything NOOB means that's the bang for the buck, basically. Noob watches are reps that are ok right out of the box, the best for your hard earned bucks... The best choice to start your collection if you're on a thight budget or even a good piece to start modifying to get finally a best rep. asking these questions makes you a noob =) welcome to the comunity, we love noobs!
  12. wow, you're THE fan, excellent and sane hobby... hope nobody catches you with that in a bag while in the street!
  13. Congrats on the 1000th and on the gen! happy for ya! cheers!
  14. your watch is the 3876.50.31, this one... And by that lousy picture you were provided you can tell that the chrono's running or the movement is an asian 21j. That one shold have a manual wind movement, sapphire crystal and 42mm case. demand some more pics and info from your dealer before taking the plunge... In the Speedmaster range there are several different models that are pretty accurate and with proven movements, such as the venus one. keep us posted! Chino.
  15. oops sorry, forogt to comment on the AR, which is perfect. Looks like there's almost no crystal. Beautiful!
  16. Beautiful watch, I've always been a fan of the Link series. I had the 38mm SS ETA link for a couple of days before a friend fell in love with it and made me sell it to him. It felt very comfortable but now I'd get the GMT just because I liked your pics a lot. congratulations! Chino.
  17. That's horrible to read, did you contact the people at the shop? There has to be something to be done... Besides you may suggest them to take it to a Rolex service just to know how do they think about the idea... that could bring us some insight on the watch's origin? just for informative porposes.
  18. Can't wait for mine to arrive this end of month. Just can't... wanted to keep my mouth shut and my tongue bitten 'till I saw it in person but couldn't wait... this one should come with a gen tube and crown and probably a better insert and pearl than the "standard" one... I think I may get a tudor oyster bracelet for it, I know it substracts from originality but it'll look a tad more tudor-ish me thinks. I have to live till end of the month first.=) Congrats on your new keeper. The good thing is that this watch will always be a good modder. cheers!
  19. reading posts like this makes me wanna take the TZ course, too bad I can't make the time for it yet. =)
  20. Congrats man, now you got me wondering how much does it take to get the WTF level?! you must be very proud and happy, you deserve that next beer!
  21. Isn't him the starwars kid grewn up? changed the stick for a piano-charango....
  22. wow, that's looking very sexy. The exp I is a very nice watch to have, besides is super comfortable, a little small for what we actually see. Nice job!!
