Looks like the V2 is beginning to have some potential despite the movement of course, which is not a big deal. Here is the link: http://puretime.co/product/royal-oak-offshore-diver-ceramicdlc-on-rubber-strap-a2824-v2/

It could be, notice the AP beauty studio shot and "gen. for sale" shots, lighting setup is definitely not the same but the yellow matches close. It seems like the rep has some hues of orange there, but then again it is super hard to judge unless you really see both of them shot together. Color balance in cameras get shifted drastically with auto settings. Look at the number 50 on the bezel, looks pretty rough compared to Gen. Also gen seems to have much more "white" pieces within the carbon material, they are also brighter and stand out much more.
-
Hmm, I could not find that video on perfect clones for some reason. While looks closer at the pics I noticed there are some issues with the screws on the bezel. Maybe these are shots of a prototype but the spacing is not even.
-
Here you go. Left column from are screenshots from the video, right are the pics of the gen. I was trying to find some rough ones that somehow match PT's video. I only put one beauty studio shot.

Very nice project. 390 is my favorite model right after my custom built grail 5218/202A PVD.

Even in the bad pictures on the site it looks pretty good. Few days ago I happened to be close to an AD, could not resist walking in. They had both, 39mm and the 41mm models. I was wearing my Patek Nautilus, so I ended up comparing all of them. Nautilus still feels the best to me but the 41mm is super nice. 39mm felt a bit too small. One thing about Genuine 15400 is that it is 9.80mm thick. Andrew stated 11mm, I wonder if this is an accurate measurement. That said, this rep just jumped on top of my shopping list. Hopefully there will be video of it soon up.

IWC Ingenieur Stainless Steel: Pictorial of a great watch
lfovco replied to Stephane's topic in The IWC Area
I think I may just put it up for sale eventually. I have to get to it when I have some time, take some good photos. I have been really wearing very rarely throughout those years. It's really not made for 6" wrists as far as its design (unlike Panerai that works well at 44mm). So I could never get used to it which is why I never wore it much. But that's just me I think. I also read that this is one of the reasons IWC decided to put out the 40mm, thinner version after all these years. -
40mm looks like a winner to me. I got the original 42mm Ingy back in 2007, Swiss 2836 that has been serviced as well. it runs as well as Gen would, which is amazing. It is still is one of the best reps ever made. Its quality holds up to todays "super-reps" Panerai's from Noob, I would dare to say it's even better then those as far as the quality. It's a quite heavy watch and not best for small wrist like 6" - 6 and 3/4 which is why during this time I wear it very rarely, so it's sitting in a box in a super almost like new condition. So 40mm thinner model looks appealing to me, I have been wearing my Patek Nautilus a lot lately and the 40mm that's thin works really well for me personally although its quality is no match for the Ingy rep. I may just endup selling the 42mm since I don't wear it anymore

IWC Ingenieur Stainless Steel: Pictorial of a great watch

This model has been discontinued many years ago and it will not be repped again. It is a highly sought after model these days. It was and still is one of the best reps ever made. Its quality holds up to todays "super-reps" Panerai's from Noob, I would dare to say it's even better then those as far as the quality. I got mine back in 2007, Swiss 2836 that has been serviced as well. it runs as well as Gen would, which is amazing. Looks pretty nice. Don't except Noob or H "super-rep" Panerai quality. Other factories don't come even close. That said, this is going to be quite nice rep.

This is much better, the carbon finish is much closer now, still not there but good enough for now. I have pictures of the gen from "gen for sale post" that are lit in a very similar way to the Puretime's video, also from handling a genuine at a store, I can say that the "light" carbon patterns are little darker in the rep, that said, the pattern itself even on the side works much, much better in the V2. Still, they have quite a lot of work to match it better, not going to happen in V3, this is definitely not easy.
-
There is quite few more flaws on the face of the watch, a best thing for you is to looks at the pictures side by side and compare. Regardless, it is still really nice piece definitely worth considering, especially since the price with Swiss 2824-2 is pretty good in comparison to other reps.

I got it from a dealer who is on a "trusted" list on RWI forum, not here. Intime Watches. He had continuous great reviews so I decided to try him out. http://intime.co/product.php?id_product=1137

Good choice, Nautilus is a better to start with. There is no Noob version Nautilus. The one with closed back is an old and inaccurate version. The latest and best version is from V6 factory with a correct shape of the rotor but with the logo still being a sticker. There is a new version of Aquanaut with Swiss 2824-2 where the logo is carved into the rotor like genuine, but the logo is too small. What I ended up doing is getting the latest V6 Nautilus and I asked the dealer to switch the rotors for me. So he installed the rotor from Aquanaut into the movement in Nautilus. Still far off from the gen but it looks pretty nice this way, at least for me....

Was thinking about getting a Gen but i had some questions
lfovco replied to xxmanxx's topic in General Discussion
Get a nice rep. Just for kicks instead of Omega, Rolex or Breit, get something like Patek Nautilus rep or whatever you like, get it serviced. Take the "gen rolex" money you saved and put it into Roth IRA. As a matter of fact, since you are college age and you happen to make good money don't spend it on expensive watches quite yet. -
You can sign up with Western Union on their website, no big deal. Just make sure you buy from a trusted dealer listed here. Don't ever get anything from some random website.

Warning fake APROO on the bay. High bidding activity.
lfovco replied to a topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Yes, it's amazing that he is trying to sell it again and pass it as a gen. Even after accepting return that shows up in his history. What is even more amazing, is the fact the bidders are stupid enough not to check his seller history. -
You should get the one you like more, actually get both.

my Crooked AP diver v3.5 from PureTime

Nice, that's a great price for a gen XS rubber strap. -
I have been trying to figure out what is the latest model of Nautilus for past few days since I haven't looked into it for over a year. It appears this may be the latest one: http://www.puretime.co/product/nautilus-jumbo-5711-v3-blue-dial-on-bracelet-11-best-edition-a2824/ Based on when it was added to the list. It looks pretty good, movement is of course way off, but that will never be even remotely close. Maybe someone can chime in on what's the latest, there appears to be quite few versions.

This is soooooo nice. I tried gen at an AD recently. Super nice.... I wear 44mm PAM's pretty much 95% of the time, but I'm super close to getting Nautilus.
-
This is a cheap watch, why would you even want a rep? Just get the genuine one.
-
Reps of 40mm Nautilus and Aquanaut are quite accurate.
