There is no XS strap, you have to get a gen strap, if I remember correctly they are about $325 or so.
All reps have issues, be it dust or some small imperfection. It's unfortunate that manufacturer's and dealer's QA is still quite in stone age. Unless you specifically ask dealers nicely to do extra QA for you they will not bother, and you really have to ask super nice, worked for me on my last purchase from Trusty.
It actually looks really good already, I imagine the v1 will be as good as v3 of the current SS diver. I compared it to the gen and the differences are super tiny. Once addressed as mentions on the site this will be as good as v3 already.
I'm so getting this one.
Yes, it's FGD dial and Jacob caseback. I would have to look into my notes from when I got it where the crown, CG and the case is from. All the parts are top notch.
Here is an absolutely amazing, custom made 5218 - 202A PVD that's basically a dream watch. I don't think it gets any better then this, at least not for me as far as Panerai watches.
I got it in October from Eton who has spent way over a year getting it build. The Zigmeister did all the magic.
PVD coating was done by the same factory that did original Panerai PVD, so it's pretty much as good as it can possibly be.
Swiss movement straight from ETA. Hands and Dial are all custom, so is the case back.
Eton was also very kind to include a stunning Dirk strap with Dirk PVD buckle which is super nice as well.
I took some shots in the sunlight.
Enjoy!!
So it looks like this is a new V3 - http://www.torobravos.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=726
Looks pretty nice to me. What do you guys think?
318 looks pretty sweet.
029 - shape of the lever is funky, crown touches the case. But that's not QA issue. I think that's how that rep is made. It's still a cool rep
Very well said, I could not agree more.
And the statement: "look at how far we've come" is something not everyone will relate to but I can say that it is amazing how far we have really come. I still have my very first rep, Eddie Lee PAM 111 purchased March 2005 that ended up being modded. I look today at 111 V3 Noob and I'm blown away. It did take some time but the reason why we are here is that forum members like us influenced those improvements tremendously.
In regards to the SS bracelet and taking out links. It would be best if someone who has it can measure it somehow for you. I think with your wrist you should be fine. A problem is for guys like me.
For instance with Panerai, even when I took all possible links out, it was still a bit too big, enough to bother me and was not comfortable. I would say good for 6.5" and up but not for 6".
I have this really great OEM bracelet I have to put up on sale.
Another thing to think of is that bigger watches become quite heavy with bracelets and may not be comfortable. I think that Diver with rubber strap is a way to go. With 6.9" you will not have to add extra hole.
Hmm... V4 sometime early next year maybe?
My wrist is 6" and I happened to walk by an AD on Sunday so I walked in and tried it on. It works with a small wrist as much as 44mm Panerai does. But the rubber strap needs an extra hole for me, or a genuine XS strap.
By the way, I liked the Gen a lot. Definitely will get the rep, maybe sometime next year.
