Here is a good review, compares V4.1, V5 and V6: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=76705 I recently got gently used V3 with Swiss SW200-1 that runs super good and looks great. I don't honestly see "Versions" chasing worth it. V3 has an inner bezel font that's a bit thinner but that actually looks better from a design balance perspective, the chunky fonts on newer versions are too messy and not done nearly as well as the Gen. These are quite heavy watches too, it's ok if you have a big wrist but it's not working too well for my smaller wrist, it's looking like I will have to get the super light Carbon version and sell the SS. That said, SS is really an awesome piece. I also got 2 watches from intime in the past which was a great experience, he even switched a rotor for me on a Patek Nautilus for a best one before shipping.

That has been a problem with Radiomir reps since they first came out back in 2005. Bummer that after all those years they still use pretty bad quality metals.

Anyone interested in XS Diver Strap?

I bought two watches from Ryan/intime earlier this year. He is all solid like our top dealers here. In one case he even swapped a rotor for me for the one I liked better. Great customer service.

Looks pretty nice in the QC pics! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Nice, me too... March 2005, Pam 111 was my first rep from Eddie Lee, still have it and wear it. But it had to be modded. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

For me the biggest issue would be the quality of screw down tube and crown. How long will it last before the watch is garbage since we cannot get these parts. That is the major problem across all reps. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Now that Noob V4.1 just came out, that will be nice to get. That said New Maker V4 is also great. All the differences are so tiny from looking at the 3.5, 4 and 4.1 versions. Noob 4.1 is slightly ahead of the pack. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Shock & Awe: JLC's Navy Seals diver automatic is deployed!

They are back in stock. And there is only one version from Noob factory. -
There hasn't been a new version of brown dial model for a while if I'm correct. But the latest V3 which I got around a month ago looks really nice, the blue face is amazing and the way it changes color under different lighting conditions is really cool.

Where to get a PAM212 Crown Guard? I damaged mine..
lfovco replied to andy-theclock's topic in The Panerai Area
It will be almost impossible to get that part. Dealers and factories don't want to provide spare parts, it's been like that since I started with reps back in 2005, there are rare exceptions, but it is really, really rare. It sucks, but they want you to buy new watch. -
Don't risk it, not worth it.
-
I did not compare the prices, Maybe he is getting lower price front that new factory. But he has a good relationship with Noob factory as well. He is making exclusive AP Tour Auto 2012 with Noob, limited number for now. Initially it was goig to be 150 pieces but now I think he has around 300 pre orders already. So we should see that model in bigger numbers.

I like it a lot, looks great I'm the QC pictures. I think I'm going to order it too. I tried on Gen and I really liked it.

It looks killer, such a nice piece. Does not matter that the carbon is not close to the gen really since its such a nice rep anyway.

Here is the new version: http://www.intime.co/product.php?id_product=1215 It's not Noob, I wonder how good it is. (BTW: intime is from RWI, great dealer) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Shock & Awe: JLC's Navy Seals diver automatic is deployed!

It's a really nice rep. I'm surprised that it is not more popular, especially considering that this is only accurate JLC rep. Which personally happens to be my favorite Gen brand. -
It's such a cool and awesome unique model. I'm really tempted to get that rep. There has to be something about the blue dial as well. I nave been wearing Patek Nautilus for past few weeks and I cannot stop staring at that amazing blue dial. I may just endup getting the 89 after coming back home from vacation.

Nautilus 5711 V3 Blue Dial, Asian ETA 2824 - Quick review and pictures
lfovco replied to lfovco's topic in Other Brands Area
I would not worry about pulling it off as a gen, a chance that someone will have a smallest idea what you are wearing is so small. I live and work in an area full of people wearing various levels of lux watches, running into someone wearing Panerai, Rolex, IWC's every other day. Few stores with Patek's, AP's, JLC's etc, within only few miles. I never think about it, does not matter if I'm wearing a Gen or a Rep on any given day. -
This is a latest V3 version. Most dealers have that model, although they come with different rotors (based on what factory has in stock). So pay attention to you QC pics. I had to ask for that specific rotor, shown in pics below. Here are my thought after wearing it for past three weeks. I'm going to be honest as far as the quality and what I think. First, It really looks amazing. I did wear it at an AD and compared to the Gen. The blue face is super cool, the way it changes color is really nice and cannot be really captured with photos, it is really, really close to the gen. The movement looks nice, engraved logo is nicer then sticker one. It's too small but honestly I don't care about that, the movement is so far of from Gen, it does not really matter. That said, this rotor is the nicest one, so make sure you ask for it. The rotor is a bit too noisy for my taste - it sounds "asian", but it's ok and stopped bugging me after a week. Overall quality is nice except the bracelet which is not that great, feels cheap and the clasp sucks. Had to adjust it myself to work better. The only good think about the clasp is that it does stay locked tight really well, no way it will open by accident. Also had to remove some links for my smaller wrist. It was a major pain since the screws don't fit well at all, I ended up breaking one without even trying hard. They did really half-as job with bracelet screws, really cheap soft metal. They are using really cheap crappy metals here, bracelet, screws, clasp, crown, tube are really crap. But the body of the watch, blue dial, hands are really, really nice. So it's quite weird that some things are super well made and some are just plain horrible. I still cannot get over the fact how nice the blue dial is, they did AMAZING job with it. The crown and the crown tube is not made well, I do not expect it to last for a very long time, so I would try not to unscrew it more then once a month to adjust time or date. Since I rotate few watches I'm hoping for it to last for few years. Definitely not nearly as well made or using materials as good as IWC Ingy rep from 2006/2007. I wish they just made it with a standard non-screw down crown and be inaccurate to the gen in that regards. Overall I like it a lot, it looks super nice and it's very comfy to wear, and believe me... you will not be able to stare away from that color changing dial :-) By the way, switching from 40mm Nautilus back to 44mm is not a big deal. So my summary is that despite the fact it is a really nice rep, the quality of many components are far behind Noob and H. It's still ok and I'm sure the first thing that will die will be the crown tube, my goal is to keep it alive for 5-6 years if I rotate this with other watches, hopefully I can pull it off. I decided to oil it and just be super, super careful while screwing the crown down. Here are some photos.

Royal Oak Offshore Diver Ceramic/DLC - V2
lfovco replied to lfovco's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
I really like the orange, I can definitely wear this where I live, practically by the beach where the summer almost never ends. But I think this works for any age as well . Funny thing is I stopped worrying about how movement looks many years ago, and I'm in such a highly Panerai infested area. I'm enjoying my Patek Nautilus so much right now, not ever thinking about how different the movement is from the Gen. -
