  1. Great review thanks. I tried the gen on the other day , hard to justify the $3k+ . Nice watch though
  2. And you have to buy from PWC
  3. I am beginning to think the plot is finally lost , I get the interest in comparing reps to gens, though its frustrating and ultimately futile. But Guys now we are comparing reps that are a few months apart and basically the same and they were great in the first place. Oh the irony
  4. I reckon its a good candidate A7753. It does to look more Tag like than Daytona from some points. But its a nice looking chronograph all the same
  5. Perhaps they might get round to replicating this model given its more traditional layout. Not as immediately appealing as the heritage but pretty sharp looking . Not Sure I like the Hands.... The 42mm wide steel case is thick and conservative - but in that way you want it to be. From the side the details are a bit more modern while still being tasteful. The steel on steel tachymeter bezel is a nice touch. Tudor is very proud of the fact that the chronograph pushers look like engine pistons, and that the large crown looks like a gas cap. That has been done before, but never in such a stately timepieces such as a Tudor. A nice little detail is that the pusher housing is in PVD black - that is hard to tell in the images, but it loos nice and goes along with the black [censored] ring. Speaking of the [censored] ring, isn't that tastefully done angled ring with lume coated hour and minute indicators look like something right off the Paul Newman Daytona? You know it is. Well done Tudor, and overall a nice case. One strange element is the item on the left side of the case at 9 o'clock. It again has some PVD black and is meant to look like a gas cap over a triangular ring that resembles the Ducati logo. This is the date adjuster, and I am not sure why it is there. Inside the watch is a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7753 movement that has been customized by Tudor. The movement comes with the ability to change the date with the crown. Not sure why they took that function out and instead gave it a pusher. If the pusher needs a stylus to adjust the date, then it is much less convenient - and if you can press it with your finger, then you run the risk of hitting the watch on something and accidentally changing the date. While it does look cool, this design element confuses me. What do you guys reckon? will we see it rep'd?
  6. Cheers Pete, I have a bit of lust on the 080 , I am so intrigued by the movement would love to be able to afford the real mckoy , easy model to Rep like the new rads as well. I know that 42mm might be deemed a bit girly for some but for us small wrist-ed gents they would be welcome Im sure. On a side note Pete, I think that like me , you have a liking for the Equation of Time PAM356 there is rep out there of it , Wrong Size but an effort albeit a small one all the same. Steel and PVD
  7. Some folks consider these to be the best case sets. But the newer A7753 versions are pretty good reps. What's its worth to you , if it works and you like then that's all you need. I'd treat it to a decent strap if I was you and enjoy it.
  8. IWC 3707 is such a wonderful watch , I don't know if they are related to the Porsche design a few years earlier , I was lucky enough to try one at a GTG and the lightness was incredible, made my 55 feel like a rock in comparison.
  9. Have you pushed the regulator towards the - minus?
  10. I should kick myself for letting the blue go, but wanting it was much more a pleasing experience than I found owning it. So I'm glad its in good hands with its brothers. Love your 207B PVD idea much better. A great historic collection indeed.
  11. Anythings got to be better than that godforsaken U Boat nonsense , great idea , I reckon you should change the plack on the side though
  12. PARROTS PARROTS PARROTS , (in a chant stylie)
  13. TS $48 Noobmariner arrived and happy to have a 16610 back on the wrist

  14. A terrible incident , horrendous what some people will do. God bless those hurt and killed
  15. 312/320/359 plenty of reviews on these ones just try searching
  16. I think it may be the angle, these are really great reps the quality is outstanding shame they are too big for me
  17. Is the white base a DSN 055? Really like the 63 wish I'd got myself one of those have you up graded the DW? And what strap is it on? Nice bunch you got there. ST4
