  1. What do you think? PAM0004 Are they nuckin' futs or what?! Just look at the item location
  2. OK, now we're on the same page. You would need to buy the screws from Dirk as the DSN's will not fit. That would be a great set-up.
  3. Got this set from the Bay, what do you think? It's very heavy and I love the crown. What would you do with it? Any ideas for the blank dial?
  4. Just a few more shots with my new lens. I take crappy shots, but these aren't bad.
  5. I think it's a little more difficult than that PAMman. Your idea would solve the lug hole size, but the tube/screws would not fit as they are too think. It's not easy making Pre-V tube/screws that small.
  6. I believe I may have been one of the first to get the new double screwed lugs and it also had the crown to high problem.
  7. Great collection, a very nice mix of PAMs. Wear them in health.
  8. I SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! LOL Great job Surf, and I'm glad you decided to use the SURFTECH name. You have great ideas and even better craftmanship. Your ideas are way above the curve. Keep it up!
  9. I just got this EOD for my son and thought I'd take some comparison shots. Really haven't had time to give it a good check, but looks close to me. BTW, I've already brushed the crown and it looks much better.
  10. Thanks for all the feedback guys, lots of great ideas. I know some weren't crazy about the gold hands, what about blue? I have a question for the lume experts. I can't figure if the gold hands are luminova or tritium. They don't light as much as the dial, but I can't tell. What do the experts think?
  11. I really don't expect it, tastes do vary. I'm getting good feedback and input. We must think alike , here's a set of brass hands from JAYTECH I.
  12. I had a little (very little) time to play with one of my projects. This one represents the first watch I build myself, so no jokes about my sloppy jobplease. The hands aren't quite sitting correctly and there are smudges on the inside of the crystal, but this is just a test fit. My first JAYTECH was the same but a Marina. Hope you enjoy the pics, let me know what you think. Case/Case Back/CG: Gen A series Hands: Gen Proto Dial: Gen C series Tobacco Base Movement: Gen Unitas Base
  13. I like the way the metal keepers are far from the case on those, are they Rhino?
  14. I'm sure most of you have done this, so it's really meant for the newbies. You all probably know this but the Bond strap isn't a Nato, it's a straight divers style without the extra piece under the case. The extra piece makes the watch sit too high and it's metal loop usually rubs against the case lugs. I was playing with my strap and decided to try to mod it, I think it looks better and it's really more comfortable. BTW, the watch doesn't slip though the strap because of the missing under slip piece. Here you see the difference between a standard and Nato divers. Here's a close-up of the extra piece that must go. Cut the piece as close to the stitching as possible. Now simply cauterize the edge. I happen to have a desert torch, but a lighter will work. Keep the flame far from the edge and simply melt it to heal the edge. Now remove the second metal strap keeper, it also likes to rub the case lugs. Simply cut it off, but you can just pull it apart as it not connected inside. The strap will most likely be too long so it needs to be cut. Make sure you have enough strap to fit correctly and reach the last metal strap keeper. Use the factory finished end as a template to cut your custom finished end. Now simply cauterize your finished end and your done. Now your Bond Nato will look correct.
  15. I've been waiting for a response from my last email. I think I may be in trouble.
  16. Here's my baby. Not as nice as your 5508 (gimme dat crown ) but I'm not done yet. Gen 5512: Franken 5508: Rep 1675 and Co:
  17. I've seen the flat strap with the H, where can I get one?
  18. Got this the same day my 5508 landed and have been switching between the two. Now I see what everyone sees in them.
  19. I don't think it's a 47, looks like a standard PAM0009 with gold hands from a 45mm Rad, Fiddy and 47mm Rad hands would be too long.
  20. I aree it doesn't look good on a DLC or DSN PVD because of the black mate finish. They look great on the graphite semigloss finish of the old gen Panerai, it doesn't contrast as much.
  21. Well, here we go again. I had thought I had it all down, but I was wrong. The colors I guessed were correct, Navy, OD green, and Burgundy. Now, it's not really a Nato as his doesn't have the extra piece under the case back, it's just a straight strap. The size is the question. I think it's 16mm, am I correct? The 18mm in my pics look much larger than the movie strap. What's your opinion? Here are some pics of my 5508 on an 18mm straight Nato strap. I really like how the brown brings out the dial.
  22. V, I know you read my case back and movement comparison, below is a link to refresh. The dealer on iOffer is named tos and his store's name is MAXXWATCH. Can't wait to see the finished product! Comparison Link
