  1. Does the PAM 111h PVD exist either in rep form or gen? What 111 models do exist in PVD?
  2. I tried to do it but alas! I can' get it off. Is there anyone who can offer more input on this, very much appreciated, thanks.
  3. Thanks for the comments guys. The Roadster is nice, but I'm having major problems with the bracelet. The screws on this bracelet are not very good and I have lost 2 end screws! I'm having a look on the bay if I can find replacement screws but so far to no avail. I might therefore have to source another compatible strap but getting this one off is a real b*tch! The watch is from my business supplier, he doesn't deal in watches but he can source them for me
  4. Yeah I see what you mean. The bracelets on the ETA versions appear to be better made and probably closer to the gen in appearance. I thought I could create that look in my watchs' strap but it seems like it wont be possible by sandpaper.
  5. I'm having some difficulty in understanding how the bracelet is fitted onto the case. I can see a spring and a flap of metal which I can push back, however I don't understand how I am supposed to get access to the springbars to get the strap off the lugs. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
  6. Thanks gio, I really love the SMP! It's been getting a lot of wrist time recently. However, this one has really weak lume on the dial markers, its pretty much non-existent so I'm thinking of purchasing the ETA version.
  7. Fantastic watch By-Tor, I currently have mine in Asian 21J (with pins instead of screws Apart from the pins in the bracelet, are there any other key differences between the 'old stock' SMP and the current ETA SMP's offered by the dealers?
  8. Thanks guys, Gioarmani do you think that I can sand the edges down with wet and dry sandpaper? My dad thinks that it's not enough to remove a good amount of metal to have that blunt curved effect.
  9. I've been a fan of ebel since I found out crockett wore it in Miami Vice Nice watch, its a shame we don't see much ebel reps out there.
  10. Are the edges on the bracelet supposed to be sharp or quite sanded down? I'm thinking the edges on mine are too sharp looking and therefore might need sanding down. What do you guys think?
  11. This is probably the best review I've ever read on a product excellent work TeeJay! As you know I'm still looking for a phone and was unsure of whether to go for the cect p168 or one of the more mainstream brands, but after reading this review, I've come to the conclusion that these chinese made iphone knock-offs are well made and designed to last Methinks I may have to get one of these
  12. Thanks Scoobs! It is hard keeping them below 10, I'm constantly thinking of new watches I want to get its frustrating, but then I want to make sure they will be worn. What I'm going to do is buy the reps I feel like I 'need' and sell any that aren't getting any wrist time. Some watches look cool in the pictures but you might find that they're not really you're style once you've actually got them around you're wrist.
  13. Here's my collection as it stands. They're all asian movements and will remain that way until my budget increases As you can see I'm a steel (also rubber) guy and not really keen on leather and I don't think that gold suits me! I've got my eye on some Rolexes and a few others so my collection will increase a little in a few weeks. However I definitely want to keep my collection at 10 or under, I don't feel theres any point in buying reps if they're not going to get any wrist time (unless they have sentimental value).
  14. Nice watch, you have to respect Seiko as true pioneers in the watchmaking industry. I'm currently after a Black monster and the one the US soldiers were issued by the US army during the Vietnam War
  15. Hilarious film Classic Arnie film
  16. (copied and pasted) Hi there, I'm a watch enthusiast (WIS). Just wanted to share this small piece of trivia about Sonny's wristw*tches in Miami Vice with you. Watch used in the first season was Rolex full gold Day-Date with Presidential bracelet. And later DateJust with full gold Jubilee bracelet. In the 2nd season he switched to Ebel 1911 Chronograph which was used til' the end of the series. The watch is equipped with Zenith El Primero automatic movement. Same movement was used in Rolex Daytona before Rolex went to inhouse movement, and it's also used in various high-end chronograph watches. This (older model of 1911) was used in the 3rd season: Then Sonny changed to this full gold new model in the 4th and 5th season: He also occasionally wore a two-tone version of the same watch. The old site claimed that Sonny used a Ebel Sports Classic. That's erronous. As far as I know he never used that model (at least in Miami Vice). It was easy to mix up the models since the older model of 1911 chronograph used similar bracelet. In the "Mirror Image" trilogy sonny briefly used either two-tone or stainless steel model of Ebel 1911 Chronograph with leather strap. Impossible to tell from the screen. Just wanted to share. Hi to all fellow MV fans!!!
  17. I actually downloaded most of the episodes of Miami Vice off emule, it was good quality and I didn't mind the swedish subs I was a toddler when it used to come on tv but my dad said it was really popular in the 80's here in the UK and I should imagine elsewhere, men used to wear loafers with no socks like Crockett I got season 1 and 2 on DVD, and I am looking to get the rest soon. Very flashy series.
  18. Anyone watching the Terminator: Sara Connor Chronicles? Its quite impressive, the pilot was very good, and filled with good action. It disregards the Terminator 3 storyline, though not completely which doesn't really bother me too much as I didn't consider Terminator 3 a real sequel to no. 2 anyway TSCC carries on where Terminator 2 left off, and theres another Terminator after John Connor, but this series so far focuses on Sara, John and a female Terminator in stopping Skynet from being built.
  19. Dexter is a fantastic series! It's one of my favourites, I really like the plotlines and is a good blend of comedy with violence Plus I'm really into forensics and that's another plus point for this one.
  20. Anyone for Lost, Prison Break, Heroes, Dexter, Sara Connor Chronicles? Currently I'm watching Lost, Dexter (season 2 recap) Sara Connor Chronicles (I like this one) and The Sopranos (started watching from season 5, will start from season 1 after I've finished season 6 ) I used to be into Prison Break but I didn't like the plot for season 2 too much, but my brother says that the season 3 is good. It's the same with Heroes, I was really into season 1 but lost interest in season 2.
  21. Nice review, straight to the point As you already know, I like the look of the Radiomir on the rubber strap, the original Radiomir was not worn as a dress watch for dinner dates, but by Italian Navy seals diving under water for missions All in all, a nice watch especially for the price. Another thumbs up for Tony
  22. A very underrated film IMO. This was one of the movies I grew up on and have liked it ever since A blend of action, comedy and fantasy, plus John Carpenter's directing is spot on.
  23. Is it OK to pull out the crown of a quartz watch to save battery power? Are there any disadvantages by doing this?
