Case number is 168.1111 for both 39mm AT and Raily, the raily movement 2403 cal is the same as the 2500 in the regular ATs but minus the date mechanism. Good luck parts are available on cousinsuk and ofrei but expensive.

I have to admit, I over the past 10 years I see many watches on the wrists of people out and about that are far too big and showy for their wrist size, much moreso than I see the reverse...a watch too small looking on a massive wrist, although that can happen, it is rarer! In the past couple of years there is pretty good evidence around in the gen market to suggest that there is more growing demand for more normal classic sized watches, Maybe it is related to the fact that big and showy was all the rage of the 00's, and now that we are in the 10's and we all have been brought back down to reality with worldwide recessions etc, big and showy is becoming seen as a bit grotesque and in yer face and more understated/low key is being sought after. Of course, some manufacturers like IWC may have bet the wrong horse when they upsized all their newest models, other manufacturers are still following the big watch trend, but keeping their options by holding onto a few classic sizes. Give it ten years, 44mm+ will look absolutely massive and 40mm-42mm ...perhaps upto 43mm will be the standard sports size again and 36mm-39mm standard dress size. Well maybe anyway

Bump! Yep lots want it in 41mm and others want the gmt etc, but overwhelmingly most want the 38.5mm in blue (skyfall). Not 'mafia' related per se, but definitely drug and gang culture related with brilliant characters 'The Wire' is a fantastic series to watch, really epic in the amount of detail it covers also. Also Breaking Bad is really good too. I'm also tempted to rewatch the sopranos again sometime soon, it's amazing thinking back on it how brilliant the Sopranos was at its best, when the top writers were involved, it also dipped in parts when they left the writing to others but picked up again rapidly when they re involved themselves. Some really classic episodes like Pine Barrens above, ...Meadow going to check out colleges and Tony spots the guy in the witness protection program. The Big Pussy Bompenseiro death on the boat. Adriannas murder, Furio getting worried. Steve Busemi final ep, Really great tension in all and many more.

Hi sgt, there was a big thread on this on rwi recently, also one on here I think. I'll dig em up if I see the threads.... Always a bit concerning, moving hard to find watches between countries. Personally I haven't done it but would also be wary about leaving large amounts in checked luggage, too many quick fingered guys in the system. Maybe best to spread it out, post a few before leaving, wear one, missus wear another, a couple then in each carry on, then others in checked luggage and maybe have friends or relatives over in Oz post the last few on later. I'm sure many have done it and would have more precise info. You moving back to the crazy weather in the UK, that's even more frightening

Bump Got hold of a gen for a bit, we need that nice rep! We are going for the blue 38.5mm and then rep grey and white after, perhaps 41.5mm if sales are good...lets hope so! Size comparo vs 38.5 quartz left, franken 42mm PO, 41.5mm AT. Vs JLC NSD rep: Only noticing recently that black is a bit of a cracker also!

I'm with you OP, love the 1887, the problem with it is the movement to fit, afaik there isn't one that fits the profile exactly so issues getting it repped. Also some of the cheaper (from pics) factories started building them so then that puts off the bigger factories...which is a shame.The 1887 imo is one of the nicest THs out there atm. Some thing came out recently that might be worth a look, a little better quality than the other 1887, but still some issues...bad DW, sunburst dial is a bit too sunburst etc...still a very nice rep though. I hope so too. It'll be like buses, none come along when you need one then 20 mins later 5 arrive at once ....This is the thing with noob atm, they have so many hands in so many baskets it's hard to know what is to be released next, the Tudor BB and the BP Fifty fathoms will be big hits for them. The Tudor BB was due for release around April/May I think, but due to problems with the bracelet it's still not out. We could be in for a big release schedule for around August to the end of summer.

Still waiting, hopefully soon, there was a delay with the AR on all and the LMPO will be released first, cant see them being much longer, next month or two, then again with reps it's dangerous to nail down dates
