My new BB with SSB arrived today, AR is outstanding, even the "famous" pearl seems OK. The date is little misaligned , at least the 20. Hope other date numbers would be better. But in general, look and quality seem oustanding.

I totally agree with your choices (also about the Pilot, maybe try to look for more recently released versions- see Lanikai posts and pics), I admit that I am a breitling fan and I think the SOSF's look and quality are unbelivable. Enjoy.

I think the SOSF is the best "out of the box" rep ever made, quality of the ETA version is superb, and you can really feel like you own a gen. This watch is a keeper for a long time (although most of us including me like to change) and if you buy only one watch and don't wish to invest in modding - take a black or blue dial SOSF with a leather strap and you won't regret. But go only for the ETA and best version. Regarding IWC, I own only the pilot 3717 which a lot had been written about its great look and quality.

I should be receiving a TAG Link chrono within a few days and I thought of ARing it too, since some people were complaining about the too reflective crystal (including you and By-Tor). I think this great looking dial should be more "easily" visible. By the way, in TAG Heuer website the TAG Link chrono's crystal is claimed to be AR'd "in both sides to improve dial visibility" or something like that, so why not? If you do it, please post some pics. Good luck.

Hi Italiano Of course I agree that this price is way too high. Regarding buying a gen, I am now quite happy with the good reps I have, so the gen will have to wait. Hopefully we will see in the future a good quality chrono superocean rep , for sure I will not miss that.

Hi BT, In the TAG website they claim that the TAG Link with the big minutes dial is double AR'd , Maybe a new version? why not ARing the TAG Link by one of our members (k2222 for example)? Thanks

I received a BCE a few months ago that is perfect in all aspects except that the 30 minute counter sub dial (at 12) is not working. May be it can be solved by servicing, but one question is why should a new watch need service? Anyway, I did not complain to my dealer (one of the most reputable) and i am not sure he would offer a replacement. maybe I was wrong but I had a problem with anothe watch with the same dealer and he suggested that I will send the watch for checking with his watchsmith. Since I read some stories here about watches wondering around the world for months and for some reason don't get to their destinations, I decided to live with this minor fault and not to bother with the chronograph subdial as I almost do not use it. But if your dealer is sending you a substituion, why not?

Hi This is a great watch , I like it too, and also was interested in buying the gen (received an offer of ~$3500, but hesitated). Note that 1) chrono superocean was not replicated and 2) as mentioned by the other members, stay away from this website. You can try "watchez" in the ripoff report website and you will read some interesting stories that you really don't want to go through.

It is quite obvious that this is the same watch, just the leather was replaced by SSB. Still I think it is quite impressive although I agree that the bezel thing is annoying.

It seems that the awaited blackbird with SSB is close than ever. Andrew and Josh already posted pics of this beauty. Prepare your $$...

The BCE in the picture is from Andrew but purchased a few months ago. You can see the price in his website. I hope he has it in stock. I think if you want to buy one watch, go for a nice and good one , and don't look just for the "cheapest" (which sometimes ends to be more expensive)
