Surprising how one can be dissapointed with the SOSF. Maybe try the rubber strap, I think it's the best option. I agree the SSB is terrible. I had it already on SSB (too heavy) and leather (uncomfortable).
Hi omega experts,
What is the caliber and case number of the SMP chrono ? I want to swap to ETA DW from cousinsuk and they aked for this information.
Thanks
The MBK shop used to sell besides rolex also Patek and AP. Maybe others also , but not sure about the quality. I don't think their prices are significantly lower. The APROO (I think not with sec @ 12) costed $400 about a year ago, so don't expect too much.
The date seems little missaligned to the left and the smadges on the pearl should not be there. I am not sure about the automatic, but the quality of the pics is not so good so it's hard to tell.
I expressed my opinion many times: with the SOSF, go for the swiss ETA it worth every penny.
I know some members had this problem with the BB date: the quick date set did not work. I have a BB (from Josh) for almost a year and the quick date set works perfectly (as mentined, the second position when you pull the crown), so don't agree to less than this when you get your replacement.
The 21J movements of the cheap reps are noisy like you you describe. The ETA movements do not make this noise when you move the watch, but of course they are more pricy.
Definitely go only for the swiss ETA version, worth every penny either $300 or $350. After a while you'll forget how much you paid, especially if you're going to have a single rep only.
About the colour, why bother with the white or cream? Go for the black or blue dial. I have a black dial, looks fantastatic, sometimes look blue due to the nice AR.
