  1. Since the SSD seems a little forgotten, only a reminder..
  2. There were lots of reviews here in RWG and in other forum (RG for instance). Try to run a search, it's all there already.
  3. Stunning watch and pics, wear it well. It's impossible to resist this beauty..
  4. Tried to ask bklm for insert? His insert fits perfectly. You can put the WM pearl in bk insert, but I think you have to enlarge the hole a little bit, because the WM pearl is bigger.
  5. The watch does not look bad at all, although the pics in TZ are not great. In Rolex website it looks very cool (can be downloaded as screen saver..). I am sure when it comes out many of us (even some who claim now how ugly it is) will run buying it. I know some people who are in the waiting list for the gen, and they will have to wait quite a long time.
  6. I agree with LordRasta, the best thing would be to enjoy the amazing gens in the AD shops, and leave your rep in your pocket when you enter an AD. About the new law, I think that even in Switzerland the Customs officials are not checking the wrists of everyone to look for reps, before stamping your passport. If you wear a high quality rep how could they tell it's a rep? They have a watch expert in the airport? and if it's a present you received how could you know that it's a rep? They can seize a watch for checking and let you know after a week? This is really funny.
  7. Sounds like something is wrong with the movement. I have a BCE for a long time and it never stopped even if I wear it only 2-3 hours/day. So mine is very good quality, It is out of the box and I didnot do any service. I am sure your skyland will be fine if it is from Josh/Andrew/Angus etc. But if you see such a problem after you received the watch the best IMO would be to contact the dealer and ask for REPLACEMENT.
  8. I think the buckle is even more expensive than the strap. This is really crazy.
  9. I think there are not in SF. I was looking there a few years ago all over chinatown and found nothing. No reps at all, so I think you can go there for the fun but forget about reps.
  10. Nice pics, make you think what a great rep is the SSD.
  11. I have a A7750 SMP chrono for about a year. It is not my everyday watch but when I wear it , it works like a champ, very good power reserve and very accurate. The only problem is the fragile crown, and I think the best for this watch is minimum or no hand winding if possible. Except this, nothing to worry about.
  12. This bulshit article looked familiar, I read it previously. I think it's only propaganda for "gen noobs" to keep them away from the idea of buying a rep and try to convince them that all reps are bad quality and easily spotted. Such articles are not directed to RWG members. Probably the guy who wrote it does not believe in his own words. If it comes from the "gen industry" they probably know also about the "super reps" but due to good reasons prefer not give it much publicity so they keep the potential gen buyer in the "right track".
  13. I've never been there, but the store should be in the ground floor close to the entrance and KFC after Giordano , stall # 36-68 according to a previous post.
  14. Pics that show the time 10:10 are probably pictures of gens, and if they sell "these" for $218 it is probably a scam site. Follow the advices of the members here and you'll have a chance to get a good quality rep for a reasonable price.
  15. Hi Lani, Really great, great pictures, look much better than in the dealer's sites. The graphite dial is the best I think, probably will be my choice (to join the SOSF, BB and BCE). This rep is a must to all breitling fans. My only concern is the weight. Wonder how it will be with the rubber strap. Congrats Lani and wear it well.
  16. The gen rubber strap is quite expensive, especially with the clasp. You can buy a rep strap. Josh and Silix have them.
  17. Yes, this is a double AR, and I have the watch for ~ 8 months, it runs perfectly with no problems, although I am not wearing it as much as I should because I have some other nice reps. BTW, Lanikai did a single AR on his watch (also Jakub I think) so you can ask him how he likes it. But you have to do some AR on the LINK because the crystal is too reflective and it "hides" the beautiful dial..
  18. I agree, although the look of the watch is interesting, it does not look like breitling, and anyway, the price is far too high. I like the skyland much more and it's half the price.
  19. It is really a good idea to buy a new GMT IIc (maybe ETA and not Asian to minimize the risk of bad luck?) and give up on this one. You maybe luckier next time. Try to resize the band by yourself, for rolex it is quite easy.
  20. BTW, I would also suggest to change the SSB in the Carrera racing to the black rubber. I purchased this watch with the SSB (the dealer convinced me although I preffered the rubber) but the quality of the SSB is no near the watch itself: the links are thin with wide gaps betweem them, which gives the bracelet a cheap look and feel. If you try a gen SSB at AD you can see the difference. Some people recommended to buy the gen rubber strap and the rep clasp, because the gen clasp is very expensice and they claim the gen strap is more flexible and feels better. I have only the rep rubber, it's quite OK but I did not try the gen.
  21. Jakub did the AR on my LINK and I think it looks much better.
  22. Thanks, By-Tor, a great catalog for all TAG fans.
  23. I own the SOSF, BCE and BB, and IMO the BB, although a very nice looking watch, is the least accurate among the three (wrong hour markers, date window, sub dial numbers and circles, pearl and case back), but I still enjoy it.
