  1. These are pics of my actual watch from the AD
  2. Sold my gen 299 to my buddy and I just ordered my grail auto the 297. Should be here by the end of next week quite excited! This will be my first L series. I had two gen K's a J and an H. Now I will have my gen 240K, my gen 219J my gen 177H and this baby
  3. Good luck I screwed up two swiss Unitas movements this weekend myself so don't feel bad
  4. Holy wow! Beauties !! Simon + V = stunning
  5. WOW!!!!!!!!!! Stunning lume work Can't wait to see the end product!
  6. LOL I thought it looked familiar! Believe it or not that model came from the cartel with actual super lumed dial and hands Lume was excellent Glad Leo's last batch of wheels finally worked with the 7753 as he pointed out there were issues with the original one Enjoy!
  7. That 219 of mine has sort of a lightly brushed -polished finish if that makes any sense? My 177 and 240 are brushed but then again they are both Titanium my 299 is polished
  8. Looks like a scarry bad nightmare fantasy world 229
  9. Thanks Simon But no collection, not even the nicest gen collection is complete without one of your beauties!
  10. silvery purple -pinky hue only at certain angles and under certain light. Camera exposure makes it seem more dramatic that it really is. Most of the time it's hue free and clear. Same as the AR in a Planet Ocean Also exactly the same as the AR on my Gen 177H, my K series auto's seem to have either less AR or no AR at all Don't know why they decided to make a bigger crown only for the 219 and only for the J series but I am glad I got it!
  11. Thanks man Didn't mean that all pams were overpriced but this one was a grand more just for the J series and larger crown compared with an I, K or L series
  12. Hi fellas Put my new MArio Paci Carrera on my newer Gen 219 J today. Damn I love Mario Paci!! Figured I'd share a couple crappy pics of a very overpriced Gen that I could'nt resist. This particular J model comes with a slightly oversized crown. It is the only series of Pam to EVER be made with this larger crown which is kinda cool. Anyway I thought Pete might like to see a gen Destro movement shot as well Slightly less crappy movement shot from when I first got her a couple weeks back On the Black OEM calf that didn't sing to me Close up of the chubbier crown
  13. Hey MATE!! Did you finish this puppy yet? You've been working on her for some time!
  14. So are these better than the cartel 7753 versions?? (Lume and datewheel aside) I owned a beauty that I had modded up with T crown, Leo wheel and a slightly modded cg and everyone said the case shape was all wrong and that the only good daylight would be a modded EL case Daylight So is the case shape right?
  15. Funny but it seems a couple of the best known Franken Fiddys are in California right now. I am so pround of the great folks from this and other forums who helped put this together with advice, parts, elbowgrease, warm wishes, ect. Thanks to Crockey, Kruzer, Projectologist, Mattusss, Rex, Noobypamfan, R_Squared, Brobert, and everyone else who was kind enough to offer their support. The results are stunning and goes to show what talented and imaginative folks we have here and what can be accomplished when they put their heads together. This baby has a genuine dial, DSN's best hands, An El Case assembled from all his various case sets taking the best from each set (best CG from version ", Best crown from version ", best case from , ect) All modded by R-Squared and finished by Metal Maestro Brobert! A sapphire crystal as close to the gen as ever made (I can't tell the difference between it and a gen) And a genuine heart, G series movement from the watch Mattusss and I bought as a part out Enjoy!
  16. A great gentleman and my bud sold me his The Zigmeister (AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Tritum lumed FGD dial. The dial has a few scratches in the clear finish though as it changed hands between owners Which Varnish is appropriate to use to give the dial a light coating and get rid of the scrapes? I know many have varnished their own dials to great success. Is it an artists matte varnish? an Automobile varnish? Help please!
  17. You got about the best advice possible from my mates above but if you are really picky I would wait until an EL comes for sale in the trade forums. I own a FRanken Fiddy with Genuine Dial, Movement and the best EL parts from his different fiddys modded and assembled for the case Good Fiddy's start with El parts and I have seen a few for sale recently
  18. Stunning! Between Simon's genius and this I am dumbfounded (not to mention Jakob's damn perfect casebacks!) Now if we can get V to make another run of GC's to match Tourby's new spring loaders What talented individuals
  19. Amazing is all I can say! I have always know Oleron to have had some of the most tremendous parts and projects for sale here at RWG but I had never made a purchase from him before. When he put his two Jimmy Fu_franken 10d's for sale I knew I had to own one! Gen T Dial, Gen Crown, Fu case, perfect CG, Swiss movement and now on one of my Mario Paci's Love it. Though I have switched over to owning mostly gens this baby will sit proudly in terms of wrist time and overall quality with all of them Special thanks to Oleron who was more than all he was cracked up to be and a true gentleman and pleasure to deal with. A great credit to the forum
  20. As long as I got sucked into another pre-V project I want to go balls out for it. I would like to source those good thin metal sticker plates and I'm not sure if anyone is making them, has a spare set to sell or where other than waiting for a set to show up in the trade section that I could get them? Hope one of the fellas can help me out Danke!
