Best is a Gen 2nd Best is the Kbiz Franken Ulti 088 3rd best is the ulti 088 Get an Ultimate. i had mine lumed by Vac to OEM specs and it is just amazing. Needs the OEM Crown, tube and CG mod to put it in KBiz's shadow but the Ultimate 088 is the way to go. KBiz and I have both had issues with the Davidson crystals. Not sure if it is true for all of his crystals but Davidson uses a sapphire -plastic sammich crystal for his automatics. Not only is the font way off but you can not have them AR treated is it is a severe pain in the ass to do so. The Ultimate crystal (and according to Kbiz the new Ulti 088 specifically) is the best aftermarket Panerai crystal ever made, better than the $150 wholesalejewelers crystal on ebay. In any event, good luck and have some fun with it.

I'm saying a modder who shall remain nameless sent me a watch that he worked on and the chronograph needle fell off when I reset the pusher. I like the modder, he is a gentleman and does fine work but I don't know that movements are his strong suit compared with cosmetics. I think that's clear enough. I have decided to give the Modder a chance to fix it himself but i intend to send it to Rex to be properly attended to at some point

If you have a skilled metal worker then all he need to do is push out the pin a hair, flatten and mirror polish it and then tap it back in clean and flush. Should be simple for a metal worker with tools. I always use a dremel as do many fellow RWGers

I want a lathe Sending Rex a watch where the modder didn't correctly set the hands after luming and reassembly and the chronograph hand flew off the first time I pushed the reset pusher

God please I am begging you to do the CG, Crown and tube mod on my Vac Lumed 088. Ever since I saw Rolli's 229 project earlier this month where he fitted the new tube and finished V CG. I have been crying on the inside when I look at my beautiful (but now sadly lacking) Ultimate 088. Please tell me you would offer to do this mod!!

Yup I love my T crowns, Tourby is a true gentleman and a real artist!!! Now for the next run , please some spring loaded crowns just like the gen!!! Or how about a series of OEM crowns for Auto and manual. Same exact specifications as the gen. I'd be in for three Steel Auto crowns for sure And CG - Jawol!!!!!!!!

Wow that Nato is definately hot!!! I had one for a while and I had a mario Paci santa Croce in miele. Sort of a gold butter color like the one in the middle of Bob's pics. I am of the opinion that regardless of the brand you gotta go with that warm gold butter honey color

Sylar has one as well I believe so I am sure you will get to fondle one Still the open caseback really bothers me. Other than that definately a super rep with the Vaclume

Vaclumed 288 arrived today!!! All this thing needs is a good solid caseback and some AR to be a super rep!!! and maybe a gen swiss eta valjoux 7750, and maybe a nice custom made 27-22 gator. Definately going to AR but in the mean time what a beauty!!! On a custom red-brown gator Anyway here it is!!! The best sausage lumer of all time; All hail Vac!!!
