  1. I thought I would show her off a little. Bought her a few years ago. She is my daily. Originally a TCv6 with a few bits and bobs....
  2. Ok, it´s a technical marvel. It´s a real watch - a "Swiss Watch" "made in America", manufactured and assembled with care : Straightforward. No worries, no problems, no second thoughts. American assembly quality and You have it: You put in on the wrist – and it feels good. It sits. No need for adjustments, not too tight, not to loose, it just fits. The TC is thinner, more gen-like, by this changing the weight balance to a lower point on the wrist and wow You notice it, a lot, it does not “capsize” like the others, huge improvement and difference. What a quality feel with the bracelet and its opening mechanism, it snaps open, it has a resistance than snaps, tight, solid, as it should be. The movement – perfect, no rattling, no shaking, feels “gen-like”. Screwing out the crown – again perfect feel, no scratching, no pushing, no fiddling around, no trying, it just clicks and You set date and time, smoothly, no resistance at all – perfectly working. Simply GREAT! As for the looks, a lot has been said already the TC sub catches the light, it blinks, it reflects. Shine and perfection of the triangle and circles is fantastic. The lettering on the dial is crisp and uses different fonts than the asian ones. The black is smooth and a deep black. One other huge difference/improvement is how the second hand attaches to the center wheel – it just looks perfect. For this "Cadell Submariner Rouge 25-286" I just had to have that inverted datewheel without the Cyclops for the balanced overall "Seadweller-type" look and the crisp red second hand sweeping is just fascinating. Thanks for this TC On to the pics, got a little carried away.. enjoy: And my 2 new favourite together:
  3. 'Ello Ladies and Gents Wanted to share with you my latest project, a bit of fun on a late-model ubiquitous black sub. I've owned another late-model sub, a 116610LV and I enjoyed it, so I figured let's have some fun taking one to about 85% genuine, a fun custom build. Here's how the watch came to me from Capre, a great member: Sean M series mid-case (reshaped lughorns for a nice fit with the gen SEL, chamfered and polished by Omega) TC case-back Sean bezel and crystal retainer ring (reworked by Domi for perfect pressure fit with insert/and gen parts) Gen washer and click-spring for the bezel Gen 93250 SEL bracelet (new from AD, with invoice/receipts from the AD) Gen LEC crystal w/o AR (will probably add double-sides A/R) Gen NOS LN bezel insert Gen 703 tube Gen 704 crown Gen hands Gen M series dial Gen date disc Watch was put together, adjusted and pressure-tested by Domi Yuki 3135 (serviced by misiekped and franken'd with following genuine 2 x setting wheels 2 x reversing wheels winding wheel sliding pinion Now this is a pretty sweet watch, as-is! I love it. However since I'm a freak, and want to take it a step further, I'm adding: 3135 140 Auto Bridge Upper (arrived) 3135 130 Winding Bridge (arrived) 3135 135 Auto Lower Bridge 3135 120 Balance Bridge 3135 570 Oscillating Weight 3135 204 Winding Pinion 3135 245 Balance stop-spring (arrived) 3135 110 Train Wheel Bridge 3135 105 Barrel Bridge 3135 432 Complete Balance 3135 315 Barrel, Complete w/ spring (arrived) 3135 600 Date indicator seating plate (arrived) 3135-639 Intermediate Crown Wheel 3135-421 Pallet Fork 3135-201 Winding Stem (arrived) 3135-330 Great Wheel (arrived) 3135 118 Balance Guard and Screws (arrived) Parts are arriving already - once they are all in I will take this to my watch-maker and he'll put the (projected 70% genuine) movement together with the already amazing watch. I wanted to put good $$ into things that really make a Rolex tick, not just fancy bridges... I'm looking (hunting!) for the parachrom bleu hairspring balance wheel, but if not I'll settle for a 16610 regular balance wheel/hairspring. Gathering up the parts at good prices has already been a fun project. Look forward to more pictures, movement out pics, and parts addition to movement pics. Cheers!
  4. Hi all, Need some expert knowledge. I've had a couple of TC v6s in the last 2 years and they've been perfect, other than the raised/thicker SEL midlinks when compared to the gens. I purchased a gen 93250 bracelet cos it bothered me, but then found that the gen SEL fit fractions of millimetres too small (my lug widths are 20.15mm wide) resulting in a not-too-perfect loose fit. I've seen in a few pics of TC's latest 16610LV that the thickness of the SEL midlink has been reduced and looks a lot more like the gen. Can anyone confirm this? Am I seeing things, or have v4/v3 TC 93250s been installed on the pics I've seen? Thanks
  5. Hi all! Took delivery of this a while back...haven't had a chance to type this up. TC was very responsive from the start and after 7 weeks of anxious waiting, it finally got delivered to my office. I was like a kid on Christmas day! I requested for the insert to be left unmounted as I was planning on sourcing a gen insert. The TC 16610 insert came packaged separately and looks like quite an improvement from the previous version. Although side-by-side with a gen, there's some scope for improvement with the pearl. Not criticising TC's efforts whatsoever as I can see why it's such a challenge as the gen is truly remarkable. TC is a true artist and gentleman in every sense. I'd been studying these at second hand watch shops throughout London for months prior to receiving the watch and was very impressed by it. A common comment that's made about the TC bracelet is that the first link is stamped with 93250, but in my "research", I was surprised that I encountered quite a few re-conditioned 16610s did not have it. Apparently Rolex stopped doing it in later versions and in later phases of production. Out of the box, the bracelet was a little stiff compared to the gens, but as TC has pointed out in his blog, this is a CNY350 vs a USD1000 gen. A very resourceful member posted about a bracelet "spa" treatment, which involves soaking the bracelet overnight in Johnson's baby oil, which worked like a charm. Feels fantastic now. I must admit, the middle section of the SEL appears to be raised higher than the gens I've seen, so I'm a bit unsure about that. TC reckons that the sample used as datum had such raised middle sections, but I am yet to encounter one. Has anyone out there? The crown stamp on the buckle is not quite as clearly defined as a gen, but is far better than any other rep I've encountered. The bezel click is fairly close to a gen too, although is not quite as smooth. The KH dial is a work of art and is what carries this tightly executed package. The lacquered sheen on the dial, the silver surrounding the dials, the print on the dial is executed to an incredibly high standard and is what sets the TC v6 in a different league from the others. The lume is perfectly applied and glows in the same colour and intensity as the gen insert! That cannot be easy to do! The latest DWO is also fantastic, being slightly raised, and with a slight gloss, it really does "scream gen"! The crown is excellent too, as well the CGs. Difficult to distinguish from a gen, even when placed side by side due to the variances between the gen production series'. I have felt compelled to wear it every day since I received it and can't stop looking at it. It's like wearing a piece of art on my wrist. Oh and lastly, it keeps great time too
  6. I am now the proud owner of a TC 16610 V6 - Yes another proud owner. This is my first rep I have ever purchased and I am not disappointed what so ever. TC is a pleasure to deal with and an absolute professional at what he does. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't hesitate to trust TC with my hard earned dollars. That being said - I'll start with a little watch background. My current genuine watch collection is a Tag 1887 first issue, Tag Monaco - Steve McQueen LE and an Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch - Apollo 15 LE. I have been wanting a vintage Rolex for some time, and although this is not a real one It feels great on the wrist. The moment I placed my order with TC I located a Gen bezel insert still in its blister pack from a very reputable source. I forked over the nearly $175 (over seas shipping included) and the wait began. TC has to build these, so you're not getting it overnighted to you or anything like that. I now believe that the wait helps with the desire - I'm a guy. Within hours of receiving the watch (about 4-6 weeks after placing order) I had installed the new gen insert and sized it for my wrist. Everything went very smooth as the watch is very well built. I'm on day three with my new watch and have received many compliments on its condition, being a vintage Rolex. Not a single one, not even my co-workers with gen 16610's, thought it was fake. This of course is partly because they have shopped with me for my Gen watches.... And mostly because TC's amazing attention to detail. Very proud of this addition and hopefully this will help satiate my growing watch appetite for a little bit - - doubtful. I forgot to mention - this is with the new TC 93250 V5 braclet Lets see if I can get images to load - I'm new Watch as it was shipped Watch with Gen Insert to compare With TC Insert With Gen Insert The rest are with Gen Bezel Insert in
  7. I am looking into purchasing a TC sub soon. I prefer the cleaner no-date look for subs but I am having a hard time finding a no-date dial. I prefer not to go ceramic if possible. Any ideas folks?
  8. Just wanted to praise tc on his fantastic job on the v6 credit to the site great watch would recommend greatly!!
  9. Hello All, Today I returned home to find the TC Submariner V6 Arrived. I am pretty noob here but I am diving pretty deep into the submariner, pun intended. You all can see some pictures attached below. I will be sure to post more picture if you want to see a certain aspect. Since I am so new, I will let you all be the judge. Please critic flaws you see. I took some pictures of the TC V6 next to my BP Ceramic Sub. My initial impressions are as follows: The watch is beautiful. I think I like the old Sub model much more than the bulkier ceramic model. I also prefer the smaller hour markers. Some worries are as follows: The bezel doesn't make the same loud clicking sound, although it does click, just a duller tone. Also, the watch feels pretty light..idk if this is because I am used to the ceramic model which is more bulky. Also, and probably my biggest concern, and I would be curious to know if this is just normal for the older sub models is this: The bracelet feels very light and the clasp feels a little cheap when comparing to the BP Ceramic version. All in all, beautiful watch and I have to say TC gave awesome customer service and he sent the watch in rapid time. More details to follow. Please let me know what you, the experts think...

  12. Hi All, I wanted to send out a quick thank you to Fidhle007. I think the pictures speak for themselves but I wanted to publically say thanks and give a huge endorsing recommendation. He was accommodating, extremely fast, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. Anyone out there who knows enough to be dangerous but is a bit nervous about jumping head first into a watch build I highly recommend you get in touch with Brendan (Fidhle007). Stats TC V4 Sub w/o rehaut engraving: TC V3 Bracelet: V2 DWO: Gen crown: Gen Crystal (BNIB, with LEC): Gen Insert: Gen Retaining Ring Gen Bezel Ring: *Assembled, timed and sealed Thanks for looking!
