freddy333
Difficult to choose only 3, but it has gotta be the - 6239 non-Daytona Daytona Nearly as rare as a Newman, but understated &, therefore, infinitely easier to wear. 6542 GMT The only GMT (or non-monochromatic watch) I ever lusted after. 6536/1 'James Bond' Submariner Although I always thought Bond Subs were cool (after seeing Sean Connery wear 1, what red-blooded male could resist its charms), I never really appreciated them until I built 1. And in its tropical guise, this elder thoroughbred becomes quite a stunning timepiece. Were it not so expensive to construct, the 6536/1 would probably replace the double-red as my daily beater. By-Tor
Mine are all modern. Well not the newest versions which I generally dislike, but the classic ones with sapphire crystals: 14060 no-date Submariner 16710 GMT II 16570 Explorer II white For some reason I never warmed up to the plastic ones... 1675 is the exception. chefcook
1.) Sea Dweller 16600 2.) Day Date 18238 champagne dial 3.) Daytona 16520 white dial That'd be the top picks. But three are not enough... 4.) Sea Dweller 1665 5.) Sea Dweller 116660 6.) Oyster Perpetual 116000 silver dial with blue indices 7.) Explorer 14270 8.) GMT Master II 16710 9.) Explorer II 1655 10.) eddog
Hmmmmm.... 1) A/6538 - (Mod issued 3,6,9 Explorer dial with fixed bars and one-off prototype bezel) 2) MN 7922 Tudor - Marine Nationale issued, pre 7924 Prototype Tudor sub, w/8mm crown and thick 6538 case and caseback. 3) MN 94010 destro - Marine Nationale issued non date snowflake sub with the dial turned, and crown on the left of the watch, so it would be more functional for a left-handed member of the French commando group....
