alligoat Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Thanks for a great account of your trip to GZ, OS. Looking forward to the follow-up conclusion, it's been a great read.
offshore Posted September 10, 2009 Author Report Posted September 10, 2009 Since your back, pictures soon? I'll get to it later today! (Although some here would have me wasting time doing the photobucket thing ) Trailboss is coming down to have a chat and view some "toys", so we will spend some time gasbagging I guess. Also need to attend to boring shit like clearing mail, restocking the fridge etc. Another addendum to the story is that on collecting my luggage at the final stop, I note that my brand new trundle suitcase, has thrown a wheel somewhere between Sydney and here! Can't be found! So it seems there are QC issues in the rep suitcase biz as well Hope its a 1:1 ! Offshore
Jkay Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 If you take your travel seriously, TravelPro cases are the way to go. Flight crews the world over use them and ours have lasted years so far. Crew on jets are always commenting on ours, as if we are in their "Club".
fitch Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Great write up OS, fascinating to read and you make it feel like we were almost there ourselves

Should buy some space on the cloud and host my own site/stuff though. The trundle is ironic. Patiently waiting for you and TB to take a break from swimming in the Fosters and show us the goods soon. Nope we haven't forgot this thread.
dbutlerman Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Hey O/S -I really enjoyed reading this and your follow up post about your conclusions on the trip...have you posted the pics yet? I can't seem to find them and I definitely don't want to miss them if they've already posted... Great Work! DB2
offshore Posted September 13, 2009 Author Report Posted September 13, 2009 They're coming guys! I have just been too caught up in domestic stuff, and answering emails from GZ! Soon- I promise. O/S
Samurai Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 I just read the whole thread....thanks for sharing all these amazing experiences O/S. Takes a brave man to go to GZ and live to tell the tale
trailboss Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Patiently waiting for you and TB to take a break from swimming in the Fosters and show us the goods soon. Nope we haven't forgot this thread. I do get tired of saying this but: AUSSIES DO NOT DRINK THAT STUFF!! TBH I am not shure they even make it here any more. It is made mainly in the UK and in CN. It is pure crap brewed to the tastes of an OS market. Don't fall for Bondi Blond either, it isn't sold here either. You want to try a propper Aussie beer? Get some Fourex, Toheys New or Victoria Bitter. Smaller brewries, Cascade Lager 's a good 'un or Coopers Ale, Carbine Stout or one of the many others. Col.
