Demsey Posted October 9, 2009 Report Share Posted October 9, 2009 On RWG I'm averaging 2.8 posts a day. Which is good, because on the old RWG I was averaging 20, which is, well, sad. I decided not to participate on RWG 1.1 because, well, it was going to be like the old RWG after the swamping and well, averaging 20 posts a day, as mentioned, is, sad. RWG falling off the continental shelf was my release. I decided not to board the RWG 1.1 for the full tour. I have been a member there a year and have around 300 posts. Not too sad. This site is more like TRC. A site where I averaged .5 posts a day, which, I'm not sure how that works, was not sad at all. 'Quality over superfluous Quantity'. But, every once in a while here, after the rebuild, I would see my name on the roster of the mainpage as "Top Posters of the Day' usually headed up by 'Nanuq' or 'Lanikai'. Good company to be in. Today I found myself in second place two posts out from 'Lanikai'. I decided to go for it. Before dinner I had him 22 to 21. He gained a lead in my absense. So, time for superfluous quantity. I posted about five more posts. But, now 'Lanikai' is up to 30 and I'm down to 20. So, WTF? I think this is a conspiracy. I want my Platinum Membership funds back. It's sad. yesterday's posts are subtracted as the 24 hour cycle progresses.. otherwise the post count would go on and on.. and here I thought your whit was balanced by common sense.. Tonight in my post [censored], among other things, I pulled out a screen shot of RWG 2005. Maybe before Ken and Bob registered even. And unearthed a photo of an early visit to Alaska that same year. That awta feed a good REM. I'm off to bed like Spencer Tracy in that film based on that Hemingway novel. The one where the old man fought the Marlin. And the sea.
