Very nice, was that a transplant, or was it the 5 door Civic that looks like the Rover saloon which coms with the b18?

I really miss having a good jap car. I currently drive around in a Toyota Avensis for praciticality, but will be selling that very soon to make way for something more fun :)

Another username giveaway. Big Nissan fan. Wish I had a GT-R, but I did have an SE-R with a bunch of nismo stuff! Currently running one of the new Altima Coupes with the 6spd VQ35.

I haven't taken any good pics of it or done much of anything to it, Ive been super busy. But Im sure i'll dig my teeth into it even just a bit. :)

I previously owned Japanese cars:

  • 73 Datsun 240Z
  • 82 Toyota Supra
  • 85 Toyota Supra
  • 89 Toyota Supra Turbo

    Now I drive:

    • 94 Infiniti Q45a
    • 00 Mercedes ML320

    planning to buy this year:

    [*]05 Mercedes 350 SLK to replace Q45a

I also owned other cars besides those in the last 35 years, Pontiac Station wagon, Merc Capri (3 of them), Volvo, Cressida, Rav 4.

The most fun car I ever had was my 76 Mercury Capri. A 2.8l V6 beast with a Holley 4 barrel carb that could drop the rear end down and burn rubber on the freeway. Handling sucked but it could leave my 240Z in the dust.

The second most fun car was my 89 Supra. The car had the whole rice-rocket package, full aero package, 300bhp chip, augumented Turbo (16psi), headers, pipes, etc. It could handle great and it was fast. But the targa top leaked like crazy, and I could no longer legally smog the car so I traded it for the Infiniti. Besides it was time I grew up. Commuting 80 miles daily in that, could get tiresome.

Piece of crap car... No AC, no heater, not even a friggin radio in it (well, yes, there is one, but it's only a guy shouting at you to go faster?!), it doesn't even have a passenger seat, WTF?! Loud as heck and very harsh drive, I don't understand at all how they can sell this car? :D But we've got a good deal when we bought 3... :whistling:

BTW, it's not a Cup car, it's an GT3R, differences to simplify it, the Cup car is basicly a road car that they change

the least amount of components to make it raceworthy, since it's made for one makes series. This one is made to win the FIA GT3 championship and everything is fiddled with. The layman only sees differences in that it's wider and the "slightly" heavier price tag, x2... :black_eye::lol:

PS, yes, I do quite enjoy my work... :yeah::lol:

Love, and I mean, love the MR2!!! The supercharged one was ridiculously fun to drive with the T-Tops out! I dated a girl who had a yellow one, and I think I stayed in the relationship longer than I should have just so I could drive it more :D

I used to have an Infiniti G35 Coupe 6 speed with the Brembo brakes. That was a very, VERY, fun car!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

A little off topic, but anyone know where I can find a nice set of black Sparco Cromodora 16", 16 spoke rims? :D Looking for a set for my 95 Toyota

I drive a Mercedes E-klasse 2006-2007 model (E200 Kompressor).

Not a big car person, the car belongs to my stepfather's company. But I like Mercedes. Very reliable car.

This is not my photo but it's the same model (although the mirrors on mine have "legs").

These are my shots. Low quality but it's tought to take good ones when you're driving. :)

BT - you europeans get so many better cars than we do here in North America! I love the E-Class, but a 2.0L engine supercharged engine would be so much better (with the cost of gas being so high!) Also love the Peugot's as well!

Funny you mentioned Peugeot. My little brother just bought an old Peugeot 605, model 1999 I think for cheap. And the car is better to drive than my Merc any day of the week. Amazing car, amazing seats. Automatic transmission. I don't like the rear wheel drive though... when I was a kid I learned to drive with Ford Escort '78... and you know Scandivian slippery roads in winter, it was pure fun. :D

French cars don't hold their value but when I was driving his old big Peugeot I gotta wonder where the ridiculous price difference to Merc comes from. :black_eye:

Bet some of you will be waiting for the F1 to start soon. I know i cant wait this season for many reasons! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Rule changes are the best bit... also think hamilton will blow button away! And as much as i dispise Schui, it will be interesting to see how he compares to the upstarts. :pardon:

regardless of 2010's outcome, you cannot compare the sun to a few asteroids

he has probably forgotten more about racing than most will ever know
