Best time of the year to go up Mt. Rainier....IMHO! Checked out the trail last weekend and it's still covered with snow past the parking lot! The trip is not so much about a climb... Going with a group to bring aid to the leper's... Really a sad deal in that part of the world... The disease is completely preventable and curable... Do you carry a tripod around with you? How do you capture the effect of movement in the traffic with the car lights? Slow shutter speed? Yep that is a whale that was just around the corner from the ferry terminal. "Paddle really fast" is the only thing I could think of at the time.. Also thinking that I don't look like a herring, don't smell like a herring but with the same herring instinct of "get the hell out of the way of that big mouth!!"
