Finished this 1665 last night and I am quite pleased with it, it’s built up from

MBW 1665 Case, lugs drilled, CG’s reworked.

MBW dial

ETA 2846

Gen Triplock and Cousins tube

Clarke Super dome

Bezel insert and pearl from a PT 1665 which also provided the movement

Hollow mid link bracelet not sure of the source.

The hands are a mixed bag to produced a none matching hands, dial combination like you see on many gens.

Has passed the hand to the bottom of the fish tank test, so no doubt its good for 600m.

Still need a decent date wheel, I have about half a dozen date wheels with better fonts but the alignment is off on all of them, a non centred date drives me nuts :wallbash: . I picked this date disc one because it has the best alignment, get in touch if you have something better. Also looking for a GW case back rather than the Red type fitted at the moment.

Very nice. :good:

Look into a Yuki insert/pearl possible. Even sourcing a gen lumi insert might be an option, as that is what you would get from a servicing.

Question, how well did the Clark fit on the MBW case? Also, there are various MBW cases, do you remember the SN:?

Looking good.

SN 5790768. IMO the Clark Superdome fits perfectly. Reasonably tight fit on the case but can be pushed on by hand and the retaining ring can be pushed on with out using a press. I used a plastic ruler and worked my round putting a bit of weight on it. I have got a crystal press but prefer the ruler method because you can see whats going on.
