HEy guysafter discovering this forum i can tell that it is going to cost me a of of money!

At the moment im just waiting to get a bit of cash together to pull the trigger on an IWC 3717-01

also have a few others on my radar!

But, by day i am a secondary school (age 11-16) PE teacher in the UK. I was wondering if you guys could recommend a watch that would be good for my job!

Something sporty, with a chronograph for timing. Will take a fair knock, as you'll be running around, but not overly big and distracting.

I'd say Tag Heuer Link, the epitome of sportiness. Remember, Jason Bourne wears a Link :)

Casio G shock,If It were me. No It's not a rep of a high end swiss timepiece but well fare much better under the likely conditions of your PE position Imho. :)

Na for the job you do i would go for a g shock, if you want to look good and still wear a nice watch then maybe a quartz seamaster.

Seiko "Monster" Black, Orange blue, etc. Tough, reliable, fairly inexpensive.

I agree, monsters are awesome, unless he needs a chronograph for timing and what not. If so the quartz version of the SM would be a great choice. There are also some nice Tag quartz reps that look pertty good.

Def need a chrono or a timer function. so the monster is out im afraid. Def prefer the G-shock over the pathfinder.

The SM is on my list of "To-Owns" so I may look in to that one! ayopne recommend a quartz SM rep? Can you get the chrono with a date function? i think Black bezel, black rubber strap would be good when it comes to the SM?

Again cheers for the recommendations guys! im still learning a lot every time i come on here!

Citizen also makes a excellent watch. I have a Eco drive Skyhawk that has been a very reliable and accurate timekeeper for years. Would not hurt to check out a few Citizens, again good luck :)

I liked the citizens also. I decided on a pathfinder a while back when I was looking for something else different.

It is a little on the big side. Here is my arm with the SOSF on.

But when you compare it to this thing it doesn't seem that big at all :whistling:

In addition to the G-shock being tough, it's good to have at least one radio-controlled watch by which to set one's mechanicals.

and it just looks sooo sweet :)
