gioarmani Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) *camera-bag...damn typos... Hello again! A few weeks ago I found a piece I wanted online but questioned the quality/reliability of the supplier, so I sent Ken (over @ Bergie's) a message asking if he could source a better one for me. In a few hours he had sent back pictures & pricing & I decided to snap it up. About a week or so ago, I received my new bag (I added a camera-bag insert from eBay in order to turn this particular piece of LV luggage into a proper camera-bag). The color is spot-on to the gen, the stitching is even & beautiful, and the details from the hardware to the engravings on the locks & whatnot are all top-notch. Money quite well-spent, in my opinion, but feel free to judge for yourself. Here's the new Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Roadster: Bergies's goods can be found here: http://www.rwgforum.com/forum/127-bergies/ Trust me--the merchandise & service are fantastic--I've bought a slew of Zegna & Armani shirts, suits, luggage, purses for my girl, etc. I've never been disappointed. Enjoy! Edited March 12, 2011 by gioarmani
Jkay Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Looks amazing with the generic insert installed inside. Enjoy it.
KB Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Once again Geo's reviews are so good I should be paying him to buy off me. A pleasure as usual. Ken
valerian Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Great to see you posting, Gio. And alway substantial stuff! Val.
xelorrolex Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Lucky man !!! . Your bag is beautifull. I'm waiting for mine since 6 months . Having some issue and badluck to get it in my country. Ken is actually looking for a safe way to send it to me. But what a "school of patience" !!! Hope I will get it soon !!! Cheers Xel
rochinha Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Hi good people, I´m from Portugal, i want to buy some LV stuff, can you please tell me the best way to put those things in Europe ... the Portuguese customs could be stupid ... Capice!!! Thanks RR
coolfire Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Simply awesome.... Both buyer AND seller! :thumbsupsmileyanim:
redwatch Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 What a great idea Gio!!! I love it. Was it a standard camera insert set that you bought for this? BTW....is that a Tokina 11-16mm I see in your bag?? (Love that lens!!)
gioarmani Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 Thanks. Yes, I just queried "camera bag insert" on ebay & bought this one. That's correct--the $600 11-16 Tokina is a bit slower than it's $2K Nikon counterpart, but it's actually a clearer picture. There's also a Nikon 50mm f1.4, and a Sigma 28mm f1.8. I've also added a new Leica DLUX 5, and a 1936 Leica II D to this too.
mrboombasteke Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 I spy a canon G-series as well...that tan leather case looks like one I had for my G9.
gioarmani Posted April 15, 2011 Author Report Posted April 15, 2011 I did have a G9, but that case is for the Leica I used to snap the pics with.
maxman Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Thats one fine looking bag, might have to get one of those from Ken, soon. Mike
Hip Hop Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Nice! I never thought about something like this, may look into getting one for my Canon 50D and lenses etc and replace my Canon 10EG bag...
caracarnj Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Well done! Nice pic of nice stuff from a nice gentleman, no less.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 if it cost more than a lowepro whats the point...
ammandel Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 Is that even a serious question? Amazing review gio and insanely good marketing campaign for KG

mastrmindalliance Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 I just received this same bag.. was packaged veery very tight how did u get it all stiff and ironed out, did u iron it? Stuff it full of something that will pad it out to it's intended shape - towels, plastic bags, etc. and put it in the sun or a warm room (inside a car in the sun might work nicely). The creases will be gone in half a day.
Jkay Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Unfortunately Gio is not a daily contributor anymore. You could ask KB I suppose.
