Akira
Hey guys, I think I've finally deceided to built a GMT 1675 if I find the right parts That's what I need 1. 1655 Josh 1:1 case, Asia 2813 2. Gen dial or Ingod44 ebay dial, if I can't find a gen dial in my budget 3. WSO bezel assembly 4. WSO insert or gen insert 5. Hands to fit the 2813......Anyone knows where to get these? 6. 7026 style Rivet bracelet 7. WSO roulette DW What do you think? And if anyone has one of the mentioned parts to spare, please tell me Cheers Akira
freddy333
Akira - The overall plan looks good, but I think you would have an easier time finding parts if you use an ETA movement. And what does 'WSO' mean?

Rolexaddict
Akira - The overall plan looks good, but I think you would have an easier time finding parts if you use an ETA movement. And what does 'WSO' mean? If Akira has a good source for Asian hands specs - or tools to adapt those hands sold by Yuki with their dials - or - tools to work on the movement pinions - the Asian DG movement is a good option. Strong and accurate. ETA are crap most of the time. I am able to disassemble/re-assemble a 2824/36 type in less that one hour, I can tell these movements are crap, not better than basic Chinese stuff Even if some gurus here have criticized WoolesaleOutlet, this seller is the only one who has parts to build a 1675. Period.
Ronin
Akira - The overall plan looks good, but I think you would have an easier time finding parts if you use an ETA movement. And what does 'WSO' mean? Actually, if you luck out with the late model DG3804 (good chance), do not waste your time on ETA movements for slow beat and having to deal with overlays. The new DG's datewheel's, if you can live with the font, that IMHO look like plausible service replacements, line up near perfect with Gen dials. So to recap 21J's (most likely a DG3804 in a GMT): 1.) Datewheel lines up with gen dial's 2.) Has slower beat. ~ Trying to find a ETA 2846 worth a $hit, then servicing, then dealing with overlays, is probably not worth the effort these days. ~ ALL GEN except the DG3804 and hands:

Mapman57
WOW Ronin that is hot - there is the benchmark! Akira - you can use the Asian DG movement from the 1655 $128 model. Dont forget to add a Clark 116? and 2mm spring bars in drilled lug holes? You could use the 7836 folded bracelet from the Josh 1655 and save the cost of a Yuki 7206? Akira
@ cib0rgman raffles-time has no GMT hands stack in his offerings. Do you have an idea what I should ask him about exactly? @ Ronin Where did you get your hands? Thanks Akira
FxrAndy
I have a 1675 bezel with retaining ring and compresion ring in my spares box if you need one
Akira
raffles-time has the GMT Hands to fit the Asian DG He even asked me if I want a red GMT hand. I can't find the info on the web...was there always the silver hands for the gilt dial? Are the golden hands for a different dial version? I don't have a dial yet and don't know which hands to get...silver or gold? Thanks for your great support again

Dizzy
Even if some gurus here have criticized WoolesaleOutlet, this seller is the only one who has parts to build a 1675. Period. Not true... I got my 1675 Pepsi bezel set from Yuki for $150. You roll the dice when you order from WSO... you never know what you are going to actually receive. Ive placed 5 or 6 orders over the past few yrs from WSO and only ONE of the orders was correct. Hes useless when it comes to customer service as far as I'm concerned. You can get your asian hands and GMT movements from Raffles-time on ebay. My link
Akira
So 1675 generally has silver hands and red arrow with he gilt dial doesn't it? At least the gen version sine '71 is selling with silver hands and big red arrow.
