DuDro Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 Anyone making or selling a good folded oyster bracelet with the older-styled dive clasp? Like this... I would like to add this to my franken 1680...I see the gens every so often, but those are usually at least $1k. Thanks in advance!
DuDro Posted June 17, 2011 Author Report Posted June 17, 2011 Ahhh...getting there...Now I need to find the properly stamped ELs and the correct clasp... Thanks Freddy!
freddy333 Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 380 end links are correct for a 1680 (that is what I have on my 5514). What is wrong with Yuki's clasp?

Jkay Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Arent the clasps swaged onto the bracelets? I should think you'd need a swaging tool to do this ... I'd like to do it myself on my 1680.
1680 Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Do you want that old style clasp with the dentation at the end? Then a gen clasp is the only possible choise and it is worth it!
lhooq Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Unfortunately, Yuki's 7836 has been unavailable for many months now. But if my information is out-of-date, please PM me immediately!
Dizzy Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I used a Josh 7836 and installed a gen 93150 clasp. I know its the wrong clasp but its close enough for me. Its pretty much perfect after some stretching and vintagizing. I've had it on my MBW1680 for about 6 months now. Its very comfortable.
automatico Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 "Do you want that old style clasp with the dentation at the end? Then a gen clasp is the only possible choice and it is worth it!" I agree genuine is the way to fly but 'Paul' supplied them on some of his vintage submariners when he was 'Abay' 5 or 7 years ago if you can locate one. Some came with the coronet stamped sideways on the clasp.
