The wind was gusting to 100mph and while I realise that this is chicken feed compared to the hurricanes a lot of the members need to endure, it is a bit unusual for us to get it as bad here. It's expected to blow itself out overnight. As this amounted to a slight inconvenience, by way of a detour home, my thoughts are with all the guys who have to suffer the real serious stuff every year! redwatch Posted December 8, 2011 Report Share Posted December 8, 2011 Great photo. We just had a similar storm here in Los Angeles as well. Gusts up to 100 + MPH. Caused quite the mess. Some people still don't have power and it's been over a week since the storm. Makes you appreciate the amazing power mother nature has. I still can't believe hurricanes blow so much harder than that. Not sure who took it to be honest, it was a work colleague who sent it on to me. Things are a lot quieter today, just some flurries of snow, but at least they're vertical and not horizontal!
