grew Posted March 15, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 15, 2012 So the crystal was barely hanging on and I was worried about it breaking and marring the dial So I broke off the last sliver of connection and this is what I have. The bracelet is going to be quite difficult to salvage, but I am very excited about trying to put that back together. Here's a video of its condition. No matter how hard I tried it was impossible to get rid of bracelet stretch. but I am pretty happy with the end result with the bracelet. This is how much dirt was in each link (there was even more in some of them!!!) All the parts ready to go back together! Slow Progress! Done for now. Seems like those ss end pieces were standard operating procedure- sop- in the old days. A service would be good and then you should be good to go. May I ask how you were able to remove the fixed links on the bracelet as shown on the 3rd photo? What type of tools do you use and what are the methods? Thanks! grew Posted March 17, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 17, 2012 Decided to go with the clarks rather than the gen crystal as its not really worth the extra money especially with how good the clarks is on the acryllic. If this were sapphire I'd probably get the real deal as I've found its significantly better.
