I swear by Montrail boots.

For more casual use I use Montrail Couloir and they're superb. They're very warm, waterproof, lined with glove leather and apparently indestructible.

For technical use it's the Montrail Verglas. They're insanely warm, lighter than the Couloir, and very rigid with a carved beech wooden footbed.

You can't go wrong with either, and they're both step-in crampon compatible. If that matters to you.
