LOL @ Crown

I have a question, for an untrained eye like mine, that insert + Pearl looks pretty damn good for a rep.

Any experts want to chime in and share your knowledge about the insert and the pearl compared to Gen fat font insert with a tritium pearl?

I recently acquired a Gen 1680 with the wrong skinny font insert, but paying $400 for a Gen Fat Font with a Pearl is a bit out of my price range at the moment.

Thanks

The crown is not good but the CG is worst, it is tiny that's why the crown looks so high...

It's a know problem with cartel vintage rolex...

"What the hell??? Did the rep factories make the crown tips even longer now? It looks like you have a mountain top in between your CGs lol."

It's a guide for a pneumatic lug wrench...like NASCAR lug nuts.  :pimp:

Replacing with a gen crown will certainly help, but the short stubby Case guards are a problem. Tapering them will help. It's easy to take away metal, but darn hard to put on, unless you are an accomplished laser welder!!!

Adding a gen 703 helps....

But adding a narrow, gen 702 is the trick. :tu:

I have a 1680 single red with the same problem.

Which type crown are you going to fit, are you going to change the tube also?

I will show asap (just busy right now) how I add metal, I have made experiments, result is 100% good,

no necessary to use TIG, MIG or laser,
