eunomians Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 I've been wearing this golden beast daily for a few weeks. Great watch, very comfortable and practical. I have yet to see any pics or comments regarding this watch, so I thought I'd post a pic.
SSTEEL Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 It is stunning, and I would love one, but don't think I could pull it off.
freddy333 Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Yellow (or red) gold is a tough act to pull off (never works on my wrist), but why only the 1 pic? More please.
alligoat Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 I recently built this gold DJ with a gen white dial from Yuki But it's somewhat lowkey with the dark brown croc strap Also, I've been doing this gold capped 1550 Date w/ an aftermarket jubilee At least the gold capped Date is gen! My true love is this YM and I have a decent rep of it, but I just can't bring myself to wear it much- just can't pull it off! I do likke the full gold subs, but it's another 'I can't pull it off' and I'm not going to spend the money for a gen!
Nanuq Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 That sucker would tear your wrist up on a mtn bike ride! Holy smokes, a stainless 1665 is bad enough... ouch!
automatico Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 "...I've been doing this gold capped 1550 Date w/ an aftermarket jubilee." I like the dial! Gold caps are a good way to 'go gold' without spending a fortune. I have a 15505 with a g/f over steel stretch oyster 'hair puller' on it that will pass for solid gold as long as you do not turn the watch upside down. (15505 looks exactly like the 1505 but has a 3035)
