fitmic Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 I just wanted to share that with you guys. 1
freddy333 Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Congratulations & good luck. If nothing else, it should be fun.
automatico Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 "I'm starting apprenticeship training at a watchmaker." Good luck! If the EU is like the USA there will be plenty of work. Must haves: A BRIGHT! hand held light. Hand held high power map reader/magnifying glass. At least 60 pound pull permanent magnet. Lint roller. Why? To find flipped/lost parts....Ha! (Some 'experts' say to never use a magnet to find watch parts but imho that's BS. What do they think demagnetizers are for?)
billyfras Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Nice. I wish to do the same some day. Enjoy and learn well!
SSTEEL Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Congrats, I'm sure you will love it
chango Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 I'm envious! I wish there was something like that here locally. I really want that to be my retirement gig--working on watches. The only way for me to learn is YouTube. And trial and error. Good luck to you!!
ceejay Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 If there is anyone near London/Essex in the UK that is interested in Horology the training the centre I attend has some places left. Here http://www.efhc.org.uk/
