508-Fanatic Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 That is a classy watch! What's the base of the movement? ETA? Sellita?
Nightwatch Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 That looks like a strikingly handsome dresswatch. Great find, I do like the subdial at nine with the "invisible" seconds hand and the triangle just floating around and the seethrough look on the movement is a nice addition. It´s a very fine choice, congrats.
martijnp Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Very classy watch on a sportive rubber strap. Great piece, but you always find some
Mike on a bike Posted March 16, 2015 Author Report Posted March 16, 2015 That is a classy watch! What's the base of the movement? ETA? Sellita? Modified Val 7750. Thanks guys, already had the host on the show try on for me so will fit my wrist. It's pretty cool they answer your tweet real time on the TV.
sgtguk Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Liking this one a lot Mike Lovely case, reminds me of the Monaco and awesome looking dial too, Congrats mate!
Mike on a bike Posted March 17, 2015 Author Report Posted March 17, 2015 Thanks Sgt now to get it past the wife, have hire somebody to watch the mailbox!
panerai153 Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Very nice sir!! I have to say, Maurice Lacroix makes some very nice watches, I have a Calendre Retrograde, and it's outstanding. I have had several others as well and they were all very nice watches. I believe that Maurice Lacroix has a problem with identity, as they make a line of cheap watches and then the Masterpiece Series which are expensive. Usually this business model doesn't work, as more people associate your brand with the cheap watches. Sort of the "Least common denominator" theory.
jigelow Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) 37mm x 43mm sounds small for you, Mike. Great looking piece. Its showing up as 2195 now. Edited March 17, 2015 by jigelow
Mike on a bike Posted March 17, 2015 Author Report Posted March 17, 2015 I don't wear them big so should be fine.
jigelow Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Must've mistaken diameter for head size ...wait that doesn't sound right. Anyway, grats on the deal!
