blue.
To my eyes and knowledge all looks quite genuine. Clasp code marks month & year of production October 2009. If you don´t mind, you can share the link from where you got the bracelet. Edited June 30, 2015 by blue.
alligoat
Looks ok to me- flat top 3 in 78360 and dimple in springbar in clasp for adjusting length of bracelet are Rolex characteristics.

Blindpirat
Thank you all guys for help!! Getting closer to full Gen 1016 build!!!
blue.
Now that statement shouts for a current progress status As, gen dial, movement etc is fairly easy to source, the most complex part is the specific 1016 case. All offers in the past of gen mid cases were of cases that had been beat up very very heavy, with lots of rusty areas, practically unusable and offered for an intergalactic price. There exist 1016 service cases, though never seen one being sold as a separate part. Curious to hear what your case alternative is? Good luck sourcing the remaining parts! Thank you all guys for help!! Getting closer to full Gen 1016 build!!!
Blindpirat
Thanks Blue! Yes, theres is long way to get there.. Here is my current build: Gen 16014 case (not drilled lugholes) Gen 16000 caseback. JMB bezel. Gen 1570 hack movement. Yuki dial (got Whoop's new one to be installed) Yuki hands. 7836 aftermarket bracelet from Maria. Gen 7836 clasp. •Got new Gen NOS 78360 bracelet with Gen 558B endlinks. •aiming to get Gen 1016 service dial, Watching one on ebay. •hands is a real problem, explorers hands slightly longer than other ones.. • case, i just spotted one Gen 1016 on VRF completely destroyer, for over 1000 Euro.. Think the best way to go for JMB V1 case and reshape it. Then just add dial and hands! Sounds easy Sent from Hell
blue.
Cool build Blindpirat! Truth be told those builds are endless in updating, "slight" modifications ... a lot of folks here would agree with me. After the first build, you just get the taste of the next best franken you get to build but leave the current one as it is. Then on the way to getting the new parts there you think of a slight update of the current franken etc. it takes no end and a lot of discipline to say stop, I like it as it now is. That is spoken from personal experience and after 3,5 Explorer builds. Good luck on the parts and assembly and please keep us posted
blue.
By the way, saw the offered "gen 1016" case on VRM ... This must be a serious joke! That case looks "bad" at first (and second) sight, like someone started with a 16200 case and did some very rough mods so it looks like a 1016. Look at the springbar holes, look freshly drilled in an incompetent way. Then again the bottom construction is more typical for the later era 1016, like the serial numbers suggest. Second the case must have been dropped a few times on the rails where the subway had vintegized the looks "decently". Third that price point may be a type mistake. I can imagine that the seller wanted 1 Euro and mistyped the comma ... even at 1 Euro I wouldn´t pick this from the ground if I saw it on the street. Blindpirat
This is the same case I saw on VRF! You wouldn't believe it's bee sold, someone bought it for 1000 euro. But from other hand, there is a guy who can repair it..http://classicwatchrepair.com/page4.html But I don't think that a real deal.. marrickvilleboy
if it goes on ebay and it fetches that price - its unlikely to be fake. The guys bidding on Rolex bands are usually seasoned WIS
