It is a week that I am stressing one of my colleague to bring his piece at work so that I can take some pics... This guy (who is between 41 and 45yo) about 1 year ago discovered that his old-well-kept Rolex, bought from his father when he was delivered, with those 2 lines of red written on the dial is worth A LOT. Until 1y ago he thought it was just "an old nice reliable watch". Now he doesn't use it anymore because he's scared He has a nice handwind Speedy to use anyway... Cartel insert bleached and heated to brownish. Cartel hands sanded and relumed. Glossy gilt dial. Gen 93150 bracelet. Gen 580 endlinks. How did you get rid of that? I make dials myself. This old gen bracelet is a present from my father in law. It's stamped O6. I'm not an expert and I don't know something missing. What is this grove ? Mendota Explorer Posted July 17, 2016 Report Share Posted July 17, 2016 I've been reading that the latest production runs have been shipping with the hands glued onto the movement! So if you have any plans to use new hands, a dial, or movement, you have to replace all 3! You can't even remove the hands to work on anything even if you plan to keep it all stock.
