You have bigger critters than I have come across here, I see here daily, hedgehogs, woodpeckers, red squirrels, weasels, and Rabbits.  We do have Moose, and wild bear, but mostly further North of here towards the Artic Circle.

some have been trained to rescue people buried in avalanches
