Nanuq Posted March 14, 2019 Author Report Posted March 14, 2019 A mind blower: If you took the digits of Pi as base-27 numbers (representing the alphabet) eventually every book ever written would appear. "Infinity" is a big number. http://www.dr-mikes-math-games-for-kids.com/your-name-in-pi.html
Sogeha Posted March 14, 2019 Report Posted March 14, 2019 Ah, but some infinities are bigger than others as Georg Cantor proved. Therefore obviously the opposite is true and some infinities are rather small comparatively Also as a European, May I ask what 14/3 has to do with Pi in the first place?
Nanuq Posted March 14, 2019 Author Report Posted March 14, 2019 What has 14/3 to do with Pi? The answer should be *cough* self-evident (Apologies to Mayberry)
KB Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Oh sorry I just popped in because I thought there would be food 😳 Ken
Nanuq Posted March 15, 2019 Author Report Posted March 15, 2019 Well there WAS but then someone got into the liquor cabinet just past the champagne fountain next to the dolphin pool in the upstairs Moderators Lounge and finished off the MacAllen. Then the munchies set in and the frozen Twinkies are no more. You do NOT want to be around when that vicious combo kicks in.
JoeyB Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Ever'body knows pie are round and cornbread are square.
kernow Posted March 23, 2019 Report Posted March 23, 2019 Pasties not Pi! Maybe thats just me being a Cornishman?
