my new 111i

i just want to say thanks to everyone here who sent their watches to me for mods this year as i was able to raise enough funds to get my dream watch without my wife seeing the bank drained 4k! (i always take paypal so my wife can't see :thumbsupsmileyanim: ) i figure i owe it to the forum to post side by side pics with my fully modded (now sold) 111H vs my new 111i gen. i'm surprised how close it is! the gen is a bit heavier and the quality is just perfection.. the crowngaurd is different as you all know but the palp crown is exact. the lume is the same as my modded watch and the movement is better finished up close. even the lug screws and screwdriver it came with are very impressive! i guess that's why they cost 10x more... to me, it's worth every penny. but then again, i'm one picky bastard!!!

enjoy the pics :thumbsupsmileyanim:

gen is on the left of all the pics.

in this pic, the lume color looks darker but it's shadowing. the color is near an exact match in person

better finish on the CTG, bearing cutout in the center of the gen, and smaller officine panerai font. faster beat as well. smaller gear teeth like the asian unitas has because the gen is based on the 6497-2 and the swiss swanneck rep is based on the 6497-1

Gen lume left, Flavor Flav tritec superlume on the right.... the same really. i like to take lighted lume shots so you can see how bright it really is!

beefier CG on the gen. (bottom of pic)

Congrats ! Must be awesome having the gen on your wrist. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

The only two serious flaws i can see with the rep are the "L Swiss L" being to close to the six (which is no news) but it also seems to be a tad smaller on the gen. Plus the engraving on the back.

These are so easily corrected, I hope there will be a corrected version available on the rep soon. <_<

Enjoy !

They are so close. I was constantly going back and forth for comparison and marvel at the rep quality. I can see the gen perfection though in the fit and finish. But I don't know if I could justify 4000.USD to get that perfection. Great watches you have.

WOW.. I am impressed with the gen.... HOWEVER, I am way more impressed by how incredibly accurate the rep (and our reps for that matter) are. I mean even comparing them side by side, most people would not have a CLUE one of them was fake.

Impressive.

Congrats, there is nothing like a genuine watch. They have a finish the reps just don't have!

Also it is now quite clear and something I and other members have said, the font on the genuine dial is NOT white but an offwhite colour and the most obvious flaw to me on the reps. I imagine the difference when holding both in your hands will make the rep easier to spot. Enjoy the fruits of your work!

Damn...they looks like Twins :p

Did you try to measure the case size and overall dia. to see how close the rep is?

Is the parts interchangeable between one and others? (j/k)

Congrat on the genuine PAM !!

Beautiful watch my friend.. Good choice indeed :)

Of course all the remarks of how close it is to the gen can only be based on photos.. When you hold both the watches in your hands there is a substantial difference ;)

And yes.. The white colour text of the rep, the wrong font of the 2 and the L SWISS MADE L are the biggest flaws on the dial making it instnatly recognisable from the genuine
