I scraped the old lume off the dial, and after I relumed it, I sprayed clear over the whole works to cover up and provide a nice even sheen to the dial...that covered up the smudge marks... RG

Watchmeister Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Got it yesterday. Looks fantastic. The "smudge" is gone and the dial looks fabulous. What you can't see from Ziggy's picture is that he has managed to achieve the beautiful rose mixed with creme look of true 30 year old tritium dials. I will leave the pictures to Ziggy though. He is better at it then I and I just busted my camera.

I have a couple of OEM vintage inserts (circa 1980s an early 90s) & the pearls no longer glow on these. The tritium markers of vintage dials have lost their glow by now as well . A new OEM pearl will cerainly have a nice lume to it. Jet
