jfreeman420 Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 All these improvements, but they still can't polish the sides of the bracelet? That is the reason I sold my last two. The dial on this one is beautiful.
Guest TTK Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 Why would they need to polish the bracelet sides....?
tonyp1 Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 I dont think modern subs have polished bracelets.
crystalcranium Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 Bump Hello TTK......any word on that MBW 1665 to CK in Wallingford PA USA?????????? OK TTK,...I'll bump it down!!!
hk45ca Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 I dont think modern subs have polished bracelets. old ones don't have polished sides on the links but the new ones do. here is a brand new z serial no.
vmena Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 God loves a chancer...... Yes ... but not enough, if I may say any chance for discount for a returning and easy-to-deal-with customer?
luisik Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 old ones don't have polished sides on the links but the new ones do. here is a brand new z serial no. That is a GENUINE Rolex Submariner. I posted that pic at RWI
watcher Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 SEL bracelet 2tone subs have always had polished sides. Only the standard 16610 has brushed sides in the entire range.
hk45ca Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 That is a GENUINE Rolex Submariner. I posted that pic at RWI yes it is sir. when i started doing research to do my tw best i collected tons of pictures of blue tt subs and my hard drive crashed and i lost all of them. the sides of the links were not always polished. from the research i done, it looked like around the time of sel's and the gold running through the clasp they started changing over to the polished edges but it seems to have taken a while. if your sub has the lug holes in the case you can have it in any combination. brushed edges, sel, hollow end links, brushed buckel and gold through the buckel. all combinations were used. 2 years ago i went to my ad and looked at a new one and it had polished edges and then your picture shows a new one and it also so has polished edges. as with allot of things with our reps it just depends on what year you are trying to replicate. if you are trying to do a z serial number then yes it has to have polished edges, if you are doing a older one you can do it either way. thats why i liked the idea of doing a older one. i bought a 18k and ss replacement bracelet for my tw best and it has hollow end links and brushed edges, that combination was used at one point with the lug holes so it will look correct.
gridlock1983 Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Hi TTK how can i go about looking at what other ones you have on offer. I am interested in this one and the Pepsi. Your inbox reads full though Thanks
