This Swiss gunmetal erotic automated antique pocket watch watch is from circa 1890 why are the present day watches so dull compared to these wonders? they new their stuff back then too.....its seems horology and whorology was closer togehter in the good old days

This is not an automaton but a hidden scene erotic enamel verge and fusee antique pocket watch circa 1800. Repousee gilt dial cover (very attractive but hard to photograph) swings open to reveal a painted enamel erotic scene. Chapter faded and with minor chips. Plain polish hexagonal case with wavy back. The movement with pierced and engraved balance [censored].

There was a book printed in Japan that featured the erotic watch collection of several world famous japanese collectors. I recall looking through the book many times while on my way to the subway station, but I never bought it because I did not want to carry it. The bookstore was always closed on my way back home, so I never could buy it.

Well, the day I decided to buy it, the book was no longer there, and it was out of print. Lucky me.

Secondly, I have nothing really to add, save to say that King Leopold II of Belgium was famous for his pr0n collection at the time, which was said to include the largest collection of pornographic watches, along these lines. I tried to Google, but no pix came up.

Also, an anecdote: I once interned at a sports photography studio, whose staff photogs seemed to follow Anna Kournikova around like glue. One day, the head photog got a smashing, but today rather common-place shot of Anna adjust her knickers surreptiously behind her. We sent them all over to interested customers, including ESPN the Magazine, SI, and European newspapers.

I was in front of the computer, when I got this email from Marca, in Spain:

"Anna pic great!!1 Please have you more erotics?"

I have dined out on that story for years.
