flavor flav Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 most of you already know i am a collector of gens and i like to build my own watches. before i have my own line going into production in the near future i wanted to build something really nice for my collection. here is what i used to build this watch. *Solid 18K red gold 42mm case *Benzinger hand made Mod 6498-1 unitas base 18k YG movement *Double AR sapphire crystal *sapphire back *Breguet blued steel hands *white roman dial *Lonestar gator strap and RG deployment the result is a watch that surpasses the quality of any gen watch i own.. pams, omega, Ebel, Sinn ect...
dadog13 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 this one is got all the "ingredients" that i like...simple white dial...gorgeus breguet style hands (my favourites)...and finally, the hand decorated/engraved movement... compliments to the happy owner... i wish i had more $$$...i would get made one of these for myself... wear it well!

chubbchubb Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Very, very beautiful flav.... now all you need to do, is think of a good name for your "manufacture" and print it on dials...
pubus Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 that is such a lovely watch although not my style, but I cannot say I wouldnt want one. The Benzinger movement is the cream of the crop here Fantastic piece
gregers Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Who's a very clever boy, then! I really like blued steel hands-they tend to make most dials look both distinctive and distinguished. Care to tell us how much those little Breguet babies set you back? I'm guessing it wasn't the 0.046pence per unit that Cousins charges for its box set of hands.
Victoria Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Who's a very clever boy, then! Incredible, heart-meltingly beautiful watch! Look at that movement. The watch is a cross between a Breguet and a Blancpain, and that's the best of all worlds. WOW.
crystalcranium Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Mouth open...drooling....staring.....WOW
TeeJay Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Awesome work there, Flav There's definitely something to be said for making something yourself
dec Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Wow... I was wondering if anyone would go for those gold cases. Very nice.
Watchmeister Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Very beautiful watch. What is the size?
chris5264 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 The nicest custom piece I've seen on any forum, very impressive. What did the front of the movement look like? I like the dial but could you have went totally skeletonized?
vlydog Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Jaw dropping gorgeous Flav! What else can I saw?
RWG Technical Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Looks great, amazing what you can buy and put together from various suppliers, I imagine the case was the most expensive part to source. Nice job assembling it. RG
viper Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Very beautiful creation there FF, the movement deco and the simple dial is very nice!
ubiquitous Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Nice movement, Mr. 913! And overall stunning execution... Looks FANTASTIC! I bet that solid gold case weighs a ton

Nice job assembling it. RG thanks The Zigmeister! the benzinger movement actually cost more than the case but pretty close! the finish and quality is amazing.
flavor flav Posted July 10, 2007 Author Report Posted July 10, 2007 Very, very beautiful flav.... now all you need to do, is think of a good name for your "manufacture" and print it on dials... i have the name already i'm just waiting on the first 100 dials to be made. Very beautiful watch. What is the size? 42mm minus crown.

chris5264 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Absolutely incredible,,,IMO, that would make the ultimate skeleton watch. I know there are more complex skeletons but this would have to be one of the nicest out there. I may have to toss some of my collection into the trash, as I
