fotoman Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Posted August 4, 2007 very nice indeed.. how durable is the pvd coating on this one? Its a $300 case. same factory that makes like SINN and other cases - its from Tourby - swiss, best you can get - in the real world its polished - its AWESOME. i wish they made other polished pvd watches - a polished PO would be AWESOME
fotoman Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Posted August 4, 2007 i forgot to mention one of the things i was always hesitant about skeletons was because the hands get lost and you can't read it. THIS you can read and you don't lose any of the cool parts of the movement

My biggest problem I see is I would get too adventurous in what I wanted on the dial in way of complications and not be able to find a movement I could put in it

chris5264 Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Great work phoband!! I admit, I like your strap and buckle much better than the ones I used. The hands are growing on me, it really gives it a very original look and I know first hand the lum in great on those. I'm considering putting in a nice upgraded skeleton movement in mine with blued hands. Anyway,,,nice work and congrats...
bosk Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 super nice....I'm tempted to do one with a silver skeleton movement. Tourby's case is especially nice. Does it come with super AR? -bosk

Does it come with super AR? -bosk IMO,,,the AR is the best out there...I don't think it is external, which is more a matter of preference, but the internal AR is great. Also, I think the silver would work well too..
fotoman Posted August 5, 2007 Author Report Posted August 5, 2007 thanks again chris the strap was only 50 bucks the ar is eh that is one thing i am thinking of doing
fotoman Posted August 6, 2007 Author Report Posted August 6, 2007 Sweet! Could you give us a wrist shot? Your command is my wish
rkdk Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Yo Phoband. Just a quick question. Love your new watch. About a year a go i had the same idea with the same movement and a radiomir pvd case. How ever i never managed to get the hour hand to saty put. I even tried to manufacture a see through dial. Do you have any idea how your watchsmith managed this? id love to finish this project.

So, you may want to get hands that specifically fit the movement.
chris5264 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Photoband,,,again,,,great work on this project. I'm curious if you know how your watchmaker dealt with putting on the hands? The issue I've worked for a LONG time was how to make sure the hour wheel would stay down if the watch were turned upside down. Recently after taking apart an Asian skeleton I discovered that at least some of these use a small o-ring on the cannon pinion, it sits practically on top of the min hand. This really works great as I used this on my version of the El Skawronek, I

rkdk Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Do you have any idea where i could order the cylinder, or the hand set? Seems like such an obvious solution. Would love to finish that project.
