Jetsons Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 (edited) That's a heck of a lot of clams to pay for an ETA 2824. Talking about one nice profit margin considering it's a $70 movement! I'm also a huge fan of diver watches. I have a few myself. Jet Edited May 17, 2006 by Jetsons

But the only gen that I don't have that I've been lusting after is the new Sinn U1. I hated it when I first saw the pictures but after handling one and trying it on I'm in love

dadog13 Posted May 18, 2006 Author Report Posted May 18, 2006 i am not a fan of the digital watches...
thrillseeker Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 thx @Thrill I'm busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest this week, or I'd gladly take some photos for you. Let's see, it's a Swiss vj7750 and all titanium, bracelet too. It was $2,500 and diameter is a bit bigger than a SD1665 so I'd guess about 42mm. The sapphire crystal is 6mm thick. The watch is nearly an inch thick... way thicker than a 1665 with the domed back AND with a Superdome Tropic 39 crystal. Notice I have the early one with the engraved bezel... the newer ones have a "cast" bezel. I don't think it's still in production but you can find one on Ebay once in awhile... one of the newer ones. These older ones come up once a year or so. There's also one with an oranger dial and yellow 15-minutes track on the minutes counter... the Limited Edition model.
dadog13 Posted May 18, 2006 Author Report Posted May 18, 2006 Ok, I know... Lots of pics, but I love this watch!!!! Its a machine!!! this is a killer watch! how much did you pay fr it? around 1000$?

V Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 I have 14 dive watches so I guess you could say they are my favorite! But the only gen that I don't have that I've been lusting after is the new Sinn U1. I hated it when I first saw the pictures but after handling one and trying it on I'm in love I don't like it from the photos either but something pushes my feet to go to the AD dealer and try it.. Don't ask me why...
